VALORANT Champions 2022 enters the third round of competition on Saturday, September 3, and eSportBet.com is back with top betting picks for the day. Here are our selections for FunPlus Phoenix vs KRU Esports and XSET vs XERXIA in the first round of Group C.

Best Odds: | XSET $1.40 at Betway | XERXIA $2.75 at Betway |

It’s hard to feel optimistic about XSET following their terrible performance in Copenhagen, but this is still a solid team and one of the dark horses to finish VALORANT Champions 2022 inside the top four. Admittedly, XSET are still vulnerable to upset losses, but it’s unlikely that will happen on Saturday.
XERXIA should have no business winning this bout since they simply lack the talent to compete with XSET. Although Nutchaphon “sScary” Matarat is an excellent player, he doesn’t have the right team around him to cause damage against the world’s top teams.
We saw XERXIA defeat OpTic (2-0) in Reykjavik, which is nothing to sneeze at. But they haven’t done much since and they looked particularly weak in Copenhagen, where XERXIA finished last with a 0-2 record.
The long break before VALORANT Champions won’t do XSET any good, but XERXIA are in the same spot. We like the North American squad to cover the map handicap.

FUNPLUS PHOENIX vs KRU ESPORTS VALORANT BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Best Odds: | FPX $1.14 at Betway | KRU $5.00 at Betway |

FunPlus Phoenix have been placed in the easiest group of VALORANT Champions 2022, and barring any major upsets, the reigning Masters champions should finish the group stage undefeated. But, if anyone can defeat FPX in Group C, it’s KRU Esports.
KRU did not achieve much in the two Masters events this season, placing 11th-12th in Reyjkavik and 9th-10th in Copenhagen. Still, the LATAM squad won the Stage 1 Challengers Playoffs and Stage 2 Challengers, while they breezed through the LATAM Last Chance Qualifiers.
Even though KRU haven’t done much in international tournaments, they’re known as titan killers, having picked up a couple of big scalps this season. They also were solid at VALORANT Champions 2021, where they made it to the semi-finals with wins against Sentinels and Fnatic.
FunPlus Phoenix are clearly the better team, but at the offered Valorant esports betting odds, we can’t pass on KRU Esports with a map handicap.
