Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League qualifiers and there’s one side at home who I think will make the net bulge at least twice.

After losing 3-2 in Israel last week, Crvena zvezda play host to Maccabi Haifa at the Rajko Mitić Stadium on Tuesday evening in the second-leg of their Champions League play-off tie.
Crvena zvezda have made a perfect start to their domestic campaign, as the reigning Serbian SuperLiga champions have won each of their opening five league fixtures, with four of those coming on home turf. Prior to their first-leg defeat in Haifa, Dejan Stanković’s side had emphatically defeated Armenian champions Pyunik 7-0 on aggregate, including a 5-0 success at home. The Star have found the back of the net a remarkable 30 times in their seven competitive fixtures this season, with 24 of those coming in their five matches at the Rajko Mitić Stadium.
Maccabi Haifa are yet to begin their domestic campaign, with their first league match of the season coming on Saturday at home to Maccabi Netanya. In the second qualifying round, Barak Bakhar’s side surprised many by knocking out Greek giants Olympiakos 1-5 on aggregate, including an eye-catching 4-0 win away from home. The Greens from the Carmel then knocked-out Cypriot side Apollon 4-2 on aggregate, but they did lose the second-leg 2-0 away from home.

Crvena zvezda know they must overturn a one-goal deficit if they are to reach the Champions League group-stages following their 3-2 defeat in Haifa last week but this time they will have home advantage at one of the most intimidating venues for visiting sides, the Rajko Mitić Stadium.
Dejan Stanković’s hosts have won all five of their competitive fixtures at home this season, scoring a remarkable 24 goals in those matches. The Star have scored on multiple occasions in all eight of their competitive fixtures this season, including in the reverse fixture last week and with home advantage here, I’m backing Crvena zvezda to score at least twice inside 90 minutes once more.
