Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me take a trip to Asia and there’s a match in the South Korean top-flight that I like the look of for goals at both ends.
FC Seoul vs Incheon United
🇰🇷 K League 1
⏰ Saturday 25th June, 12:00
Two sides who have been plagued with inconsistency in the last few weeks go head-to-head at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, as Seoul play host to Incheon in the South Korean capital.
After taking an earlier lead, Seoul then conceded twice in the final quarter of an hour to lose 1-2 against league leaders Ulsan. That loss last time out now means An Ik-soo’s side have won just one of their last five league matches and none of their last three at home. Seoul have found the back of the net in 7/8 of their home league matches, scoring 12 of their 19 goals in-front of their own supporters. However, the capital-club have registered just five clean sheets in the K League 1 this season, with just three of those coming in their 14 fixtures.
Incheon United made it back-to-back success’s in-front of their own supporters, as they comfortably defeated second from bottom Gangwon 4-1 last time out. That was just their second win from their last nine league matches, with Jo Sung-hwan’s side failing to win any of their last four away from home, losing each of their last two. Incheon have conceded in 10 of their last 11 K League 1 matches, including in each of their last five away from home, conceding on multiple occasions in their last four. However, the Mariners have scored in 14/17 of their league fixtures this season, only failing to score against second-placed Jeonbuk Motors and fifth-placed Pohang Steelers (twice).
Bet of the Day
Neither of these two sides come into this fixture in great form and with neither side looking particularly solid at the back, I’m expecting goals at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Incheon have registered just one clean sheet in their last 11 league matches and I can’t see them shutting out a Seoul side that’s scored in 11 of their last 13 matches and who’ve failed to score just once at home so far this season. However, An Ik-soo’s hosts have conceded I’m 11 of their last 14 in K League 1, including in each of their last five and given Incheon have scored in 14/17 of their league fixtures this season, I’m happy to back both sides to get on the scoresheet in the South Korean capital at Saturday lunchtime.
