Tournament favourites France have made an inauspicious start to their Nations League campaign, taking just one point from their opening two games.
A 2-1 defeat at home to Denmark was followed by a 1-1 draw in Croatia but they can get things going with a win in Austria tonight. It was a much-changed French side which almost took all three points in Split with the likes of Lloris, Griezmann, Mbappe and Benzema all left on the bench.
They can’t afford to slip any further behind in Group A1 so should be back to full strength tonight.
The Austrians too, fell to a late goal to the Danes last time out after an impressive 3-0 win in Croatia, so will be no push overs for Didier Deschamps men but it’s hard to see France going three games without a win and the 4/5 looks backable enough.
In the same group it’s hard to see past Denmark at home to Croatia. The Euro 2020 semi-finalists have some serious momentum at the moment. By the time Scotland beat them in November they had already wrapped up World Cup qualification without dropping a point at that stage. They lost to Netherlands in a friendly but have followed that up with wins onver Serbia, France and Austria and have now lost just twice in regulation time in their last 15 outings.
Croatia’s 3-0 loss to Austria displayed a soft side to their squad and the Danes should make it three wins from three at 17/20. Two or more goals for Denmark also appeals at even money with Bet365.
