Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the Nations League and I’ve selected two sides who should be too strong for their opponents to score at least twice.

England kick off their Nations League campaign by returning to Budapest, to take on Hungary at the Puskás Aréna. The hosts were ordered to play the match behind closed doors following racist abuse directed at England players last September, but it’s expected they will be up to 30,000 children and guardians in the stands.
Hungary failed to qualify for this years World Cup, as they finished in fourth position in their group, three points behind second-placed Poland. Marco Rossi’s side W5-D2-L3 in qualifying, however, four of those wins came against minnows Andorra and San Marino. Hungary recorded two clean sheets in their 10 qualifiers, with both of them coming against the lowest ranked nation in the world San Marino. In total, The Magyars conceded 13 goals in total, with seven of them coming in their home matches against both Poland and England.
England qualified for this years World Cup with ease, as they topped their group, finishing six points clear of nearest rivals Poland. Gareth Southgate’s side went through their group campaign unbeaten, winning eight and drawing two of their 10 qualifiers. England scored an impressive 39 goals in those qualifiers, however, 24 of those came against lowly Andorra and San Marino. Nevertheless, The Three Lions scored on multiple occasions in eight of those qualifiers, including in their previous visit to Budapest last year.
Turkey 🇹🇷 vs Faroe Islands 🇫🇴

Two sides who failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar kick off their Nations League campaign in Istanbul, as Turkey play host to the Faroe Islands at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
Turkey saw their hopes of playing at this years World Cup ended in Porto in March of this year, as they lost 3-1 to Portugal in their playoff semi-final. Prior to that, Stefan Kuntz’s side finished in second position in qualifying, just two points behind group winners Holland. Turkey W6-D3-L1 in qualifying, with their sole defeat coming in a heavy 6-1 in Amsterdam against the Dutch. The Crescent-Stars scored in all 10 of their qualifiers, finding the back of the net 27 times, with 16 of those coming on home turf.
Once again, the Faroe Islands failed to qualify for the World Cup, as they finished in fifth position in their group. Hàkan Ericson’s side collected just four points in qualification, with all four of them coming against bottom side Moldova, losing all eight of their matches against Austria, Israel, Scotland and Denmark. The Faroe’s failed to record a single clean sheet in their 10 qualifiers, conceding a total of 23 goals, with 14 of those coming on their travels.
Bet of the Day
After their players suffered racist abuse in Budapest last September, England return to the Puskás Aréna to take on Hungary at Saturday teatime and I’m expecting The Three Lions to have to have too much firepower for the Magyars. Gareth Southgate’s scored 39 goals in World Cup qualifying, with four of them coming in the Hungarian capital and I expect them to to score at least twice in their opening Nations League fixture.
Turkey begin their Nations League campaign at home to the Faroe Islsnds and Stefan Kuntz’s side should be far too strong for the Nordic nation. The Crescent-Stars scored 27 goals in World Cup qualification and should score at least twice against a Faroe Islands side that conceded 14 times in their five World Cup qualifiers away from home.
