After all the excitement at Augusta last week it’s business as usual as the PGA Tour resumes with the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Links, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Let’s get The Masters out the way before we continue shall we?
Well, what a week it was for us all at MFT! Not only did we single out the winner, the truly amazing Scottie Scheffler 16/1 EW but we also picked Rory McIlroy, 20/1 EW who finished runner-up.
I mentioned in the preview that it could be catch me if you can for Scottie Scheffler and that’s what basically happened from start to finish. I’ve been raving about this kid for months now. That’s now three times this year that I’ve tipped Scottie Scheffler to win and he’s duly obliged every time, remember he hadn’t won an event on the PGA Tour until this year and now he’s won four including a major, and it’s only April!
Rory also put in a spectacular performance, especially the final round when equalling the course record (64) but it was too much, too late for the Irishman. He certainly silenced the critics and it’s perfect preparation for The 150th Open at St Andrews, how special would that be if Rory could go one better?
It doesn’t stop there as we also advised Bryson De Chambeau to miss the cut. I said Bryson was still struggling after returning from injury as well as all the Saudi breakaway carry on and that Augusta was the last thing he needed, so I made it my 5pts Super NAP.
Bryson was way off the pace and missed the cut on +12 to make it an absolutely amazing Masters for everyone who followed my selections.
It’s still a 100% winning record with our Super Nap..
Well done to each and everyone of you who collected at the weekend, I know there were lots of you which makes it even more rewarding and what makes it all worthwhile. I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the kind messages etc. on both the website and Twitter, it’s been overwhelming.

RBC Heritage
So let’s get back to this weeks RBC Heritage.
The 132-field (Top 65 make cut) will all be competing around this par 72 links course for a share of the $8m prize purse with the winner collecting the title and $1.44m.
Stewart Cink returns to defend his title this week, if you remember I tipped Cink at 150/1 to win this last year and again there were more than a few of you who were smiling all the way to the bookie counter.
The weather is forecast to be cloudy with thunderstorms but with some nice intervals in between and breezes expected to peak at 12mph.
This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf with live coverage starting at 12pm GMT on Thursday.
So let’s move on with this weeks selections for the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.
Collin Morikawa
For my first and main selection I’m going to advise Collin Morikawa 12/1 EW Bet365.
The 25 year old kid from Los Angeles, already a two-time major champion comes here with the form and stats that matter and this Harbour Town links track is all set up for the World Number 2.
Morikawa sits in the Top 20 this season on the PGA Tour with a whole list of impressive stats; 10th SG off the tee, 20th SG Approach to Green and 15th SG Total.
He finished 7th at this event last year so knows what it takes to be challenging around here.
It’s hard to think that this talented kid only turned pro a couple of years ago and has since won five tournaments, two of them majors.
Last year’s Open Championship winner will come here full of confidence after finishing 5th at The Masters last weekend and could use his magical pin point precision on his way to yet another victory on the PGA Tour, this time at the RBC Heritage.
Matthew Fitzpatrick
For my next suggestion I’m going to single out another who I’ve been keeping the faith with recently, Matthew Fitzpatrick 20/1 EW Bet365.
The 27 year old from Sheffield, England will win soon on the PGA Tour for sure and claim that maiden title that has so far eluded him.
If anyone deserves a victory on the PGA Tour then surely it’s Fitzy.
Again, I’m looking at the stats here and no-one in this field comes here with better all round figures than Fitzpatrick.
Have a read at this; 13th SG Approach to Green, 15th SG Around the Green, 20th SG Putting, 5th SG Tee to Green and 1st SG Total. Even I didn’t realise just how good these figures were until I done my research.
If Fitzy comes here producing that kind of form then he could be the most likely winner and the one they all have to beat.
It actually reads even better when looking back at Fitzpatrick’s last twelve events, with nine Top 20 finishes in his last twelve attempts, six of them in the Top 10, including runner up at the DP World Tour Championship and a victory at the Andalucia Masters, you see where I’m going with this.
The last time I tipped Fitzy was at the Valspar Championship where he didn’t disappoint finishing 5th to collect decent each way money, this time I’ve got a feeling he can finally claim that maiden PGA Title with many more to come with that monkey off his back and I’m not missing out so neither will you.
Stewart Cink
For my next selection I’m going to include the man who done the business for us here last year at a mammoth 150/1. Take a bow Stewart Cink, what a comeback victory that was for the 48 year old veteran from Alabama and for us here at MFT.
Honestly, as you’ll remember times were very hard this time last year so it made it even more special for those who collected as advised at 150/1. I had so many messages that put a tear in my eye after Cink’s victory here last year.
I’m just so glad I could help so many through tough times, it was an amazing result.
Can he successfully defend his title at 125/1 Unibet this time around? Of course he can if you ask me!
This eight-time champion (including a major when winning the 138th Open Championship at Turnberry) will come here with no pressure and enjoy the next four days of golf.
He has already shown us all he has the skill, expertise and experience to win on this links track and clearly enjoys links golf, just check the above mentioned major.
Listen, it’s a long shot obviously, that’s why he’s 125/1 but I’m more than willing to give Stewart Cink as good a chance as any to successfully defend his crown at attractive and generous odds.
With a recent 7th place at the Valspar Championship just a few weeks back the signs are there for all to see that Cinky hasn’t given up challenging with the best quite just yet.
Kevin Streelman v Ian Poulter
For my final selection it’s the customary matchbet Nap and this week I’m going to advise Kevin Streelman to send the Postman (Ian Poulter) packing 10/11 Nap Betfair.
