THE Championship title chase has become a three-horse race with Partick Thistle grinding out two Firhill wins to put pressure on Killie and Arbroath.
But the Jags are back on the road today and face a tough task at Cappielow against a Morton who beat them in Glasgow just a
fortnight ago.
Dougie Imrie has moved Ton towards mid-table but their form has dipped since that Firhill win, with just one victory in four.
Imrie’s men crashed 3-0 to Queen of the South last time out and that was their second successive blank.
Thistle have only scored three goals in their last six so it points towards a cagey game.
Under 2.5 goals pays a best 8/11 with BoyleSports but the odds are a bit better if you bet against BTTS at 10/11 with Unibet.
The half-time draw also appeals and that is priced 21/20 at McBookie.
The same firm have a market on cards and the 7/2 on offer for Ton stopper Alan Lithgow to fall foul of the ref looks good.
Arbroath got back to winning ways last weekend after three successive draws and now head to an
Inverness side in awful form.
Caley Thistle have now gone 11 games without a win but six of those matches have ended level.
Another draw appeals today at 11/5 with Bet365 and it could be another game where goalmouth action is at a premium.
Under 2.5 goals is poor value though at a best 4/7 (Unibet) and betting against BTTS isn’t much better at 5/6 with BetVictor. Combining the bets at SBK boosts the odds to evens.
Dunfermline now prop up the table and the heat is on as they travel to Hamilton.
The last two meetings have been settled by a single goal, with one victory apiece, while the other clash this term ended 0-0.
A one-goal winning margin for Accies could be worth a punt at 11/4 (Bet365) and I fancy Josh Mullin for a goal at 7/2 with McBookie.
Queen of the South have hit form under Willie Gibson, winning three in a row before that run ended with a loss at Firhill.
They host Raith Rovers today and I fancy Gibson’s side at 9/4 with SBK.
Backing Cove for a comfortable win paid off for me in League One last week as they battered Peterhead.
The leaders now host Clyde and I’m combining a Cove win with a goal for Mitch Megginson which pays 107/100 in a McBookie bet builder.
Annan also delivered for me in League Two last week and they look terrific value at 5/4 with Bet365 for a home win today against an Elgin side who have lost five of their last seven.
Super Singles
- Annan to win (5/4, Bet365)
- Half-time draw at Morton (21/20, McBookie)
- Josh Mullin anytime scorer (7/2, McBookie)
- Queen of the South to win (9/4, SBK)
