PETERHEAD gave a good account of themselves on Monday in the Scottish Cup before eventually going down to Dundee, but they could suffer more misery when they return to League One business this week with AIRDRIE looking a solid shout.
Jim McInally’s side had plenty of chances and a penalty claim, with Dundee eventually winning by an extremely flattering 3-0 scoreline.
However, the Blue Toon side have not been going well in their bread and butter in the league. They have not won a home game since November and are struggling.
In contrast, the Diamonds are the form team in this league with three wins and three draws in their last six games. They’ve lost one in their last ten games and that was at Championship high-fliers Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
A 4-1 thrashing of a decent Montrose side last week was proof they are heading in the right direction with Callum Gallagher grabbing a double. The evens should be a steal.
STENHOUSEMUIR have very much flown under the radar, but they are in really good form in League Two and can get the points at Stair Park against Stranraer at 17/10.
Stephen Swift’s side were struggling for large chunks of this season, but the penny appears to have dropped recently. They have defeated Elgin City and won at in-form Annan Athletic in their past two games.
Additionally, they are better on their travels having won their last three games away from home.
Stenny should be ready to go after a mini two-week break and face a Stranraer side who have failed to win their last four games at home.
In-form MORTON looks far too big to win at 11/5 at Hamilton Accies.
Dougie Imrie has revitalised Ton and they are three points ahead of the rest of the league in the last six games form table. From being in a relegation dogfight, they are suddenly up to sixth place in the table and going great guns. They’ve beaten Dunfermline, Ayr United, Inverness and Queen of the South and drawn with Raith Rovers in their past five games.
Accies have improved as well after a terrible start to the season, but they still have only won one game in their last seven and that was against bottom dogs Queen of the South and the Cappielow men look a decent shout at a big price.
