With the qualifying process for Qatar 2022 continuing at the end of this month, can you name the nations that have already managed to book their place for the tournament?
The first ever “winter” World Cup is set to take place at the end of 2022, and although the qualifiers aren’t quite over just yet, 13 teams have managed to seal their participation at the first tournament to be held in the Middle East.
This will be the last World Cup involving 32 teams, with the tournament being expanded to 48 participants for the next edition that will be hosted by Mexico, USA, and Canada.
Back to 2022 though, and some nations have managed to win their qualifying groups with games to spare, while others have enough points to guarantee qualification even if they aren’t sure of their final positions just yet.
With 18 spots still to play for, who do you think will be booking their tickets for Qatar next? And can you name the 13 that are already making their plans?
