DRX kicked off the 2022 LCK season with a 0-2 defeat against Liiv SANDBOX with a performance that wasn’t very convincing, but it gave us some idea of what to expect DRX going forward. The main two things to take away from that match is that DRX are very good in the early game, but they look somewhat lost around objectives, which isn’t great, but it’s better than the other way around.
The fact that DRX can create early-game advantages proves that this is a roster of solid individual talent, while the lack of solid macro play decisions purely suggests that DRX have yet to learn how to play with each other. So DRX just need some more time, and they should be fine.
Gen.G will debut its newly formed roster on Friday when Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk and co. will show off what the new Korean LoL superteam is capable of. Of course, as with any new roster, it would be fair to assume that Gen.G will have a shaky start. But this team is different in a way that its core has played with each other at one point of their careers – most notably Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, and Son “Lehends” Si-woo at Griffin.
Betting on a team to win in straight maps early into the season is risky, but at $1.67, we have to side with Gen.G.

T1 picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday, with a swift 2-0 sweep of Kwangdong Freecs, and from the looks of it, the three-time LoL world champions should end the first round of the season 2-0. And there are a few key reasons why T1 shouldn’t be losing a single map, let alone the whole series on Friday.
Generally, it’s wise to explore options to fade firm favourites in the early stages of the season because most teams make roster changes, which usually translates to adapting period, and shaky performances early on. However, that won’t be the case with T1, who have not signed any new players, meaning the synergy shouldn’t be an issue.
And secondly, T1 are individually much more stacked than Fredit BRION, who have some solid pieces, but this is not a roster that can compete at the top level. There is a world where Fredit BRION come up with some unique strategy and make T1’s life harder, but Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and co. shouldn’t be losing games like that.
