The Detroit Lions finally got themselves a win! It was a huge win for them, and Week 13 of the 2021 NFL regular season provided a lot of similar swings of momentum just like that. We can look forward to another phenomenal slate of games in Week 14, with huge division rivalries that could end up shaping the playoff picture in a few weeks.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Football Team
The Dallas Cowboys nabbed a win over the New Orleans Saints, but it wasn’t pretty. At least offensively. Ezekiel Elliott didn’t look healthy at all during the game and Dak Prescott threw a critical interception late in the game. However, their defense continued to dominate by forcing four interceptions on Taysom Hill to keep them in the driver’s seat the entire time. They now get the Washington Football Team, a group that is on quite the win streak right now. Washington finally changed up their style of play and it is working out to their advantage. Antonio Gibson is being utilised as an every down back and the run game has started to propel what was a very inconsistent offense early on in the season. Defensively, they have benefited from this style change and can play with a little more energy now that they aren’t on the field 24/7. These two teams know each other very well, but my money is on the Football Team in this one. Dallas hasn’t looked great lately and Washington is starting to find their rhythm.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns
These two squads met up not too long ago in what turned out to be an ugly all-around game for both sides. Neither offense got anything going as they turned the ball over multiple times. This one has the potential to be a lot different, with Cleveland getting a week off and the Ravens suffering a tough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. Their recent struggles should be a nice wakeup call as we enter the final stretch of the season. Division rivalries are always unpredictable and this one is no exception. Part of me is leaning towards picking the Browns in what could be a really big surprise upset this week. Though they have not played consistently enough to win. Give me the Ravens in this one, a game that will be close the entire way through.
Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
This is going to be the most exciting game of the bunch this weekend. The Los Angeles Rams were able to find some momentum last week by blowing out the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. The easy win should give them something to be happy about after they were on quite the losing streak before this contest. Matthew Stafford is starting to find Odell Beckham consistently in the offense, and we all know how effective Cooper Kupp is out wide. Then you have the Arizona Cardinals, who are 10-2 on the season and just got back their two best offensive weapons. Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins hooked up for a touchdown last week and they looked incredible again in their win over the Chicago Bears. Everything seems to be clicking for the Cardinals right now, and they were able to defeat the Rams in the first matchup they played against one another this season. I have to take the Cardinals here; they have just been so explosive all year long to pick against them.
