If you followed our team in Gameweek 10, you should have done well to come through a tricky patch of the season.
Sixty-six points was a decent return, especially when you consider the global average was 42.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was the star of the show as he picked up 10 points, while captain Mohamed Salah did what he does best – score points even when Liverpool failed to fire on all cylinders.
Ahead of Gameweek 11, there is plenty to think about. Tottenham’s decision to hire Antonio Conte looks like it could be a gold mine for FPL players, with their fixtures starting to ease in difficulty.
Other premium forwards like Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku are out of form or injured, so after selecting Harry Kane last week, we are going to let it all pan out ahead of the international break.
By keeping hold of a transfer, we will have two in Gameweek 12 and by then, we should know if Conte has worked his magic already in north London.
Here is our team for Gameweek 11, and as always, good luck!
Goalkeeper – Aaron Ramsdale
Those that selected Ramsdale a few weeks ago will have been grinning like a Cheshire Cat on Saturday as Ramsdale’s incredible save from James Maddison’s free-kick did the rounds on social media.
The former Sheffield United man was the star of the show as Arsenal kept Leicester at bay and after scoring ten points last week, how can we leave him out?
Defenders – Ben White, Antonio Rudiger, Joao Cancelo, Trent Alexander-Arnold
Taking a risk here with an Arsenal double-up, but Watford were poor against Southampton last weekend. The Hornets have failed to score in three of their previous four and an Arsenal win to nil this week appeals at 13/10.
Rudiger grabbed another clean sheet last week and even though Burnley won last weekend, they are likely to struggle to score against the Blues on their travels.
Cancelo and TAA remain in our team, but the jury is out on the former, with some low scores being recorded of late. Both stay in our ranks due to their scoring abilities, but only time will tell if they remain part of our unit.
Midfielders – Mohamed Salah, Emile Smith Rowe, Raphinha
All three of these guys did the business last weekend, with Smith Rowe and Raphinha scoring goals. Salah had to settle for an assist, but keeping him in our team, especially as captain, seems the sensible play.
The Egyptian has been the standout player in the Premier League this season, so he remains our skipper, even though in-form West Ham come to town this weekend.
Smith Rowe offers great value as he continues to shine for Arsenal and Raphinha is too cheap this year, making it likely he will shoot up in price if he remains in the Premier League.
Strikers – Harry Kane, Michail Antonio, Raul Jimenez
Even though Kane was booed during the defeat to Manchester United, we are hoping that Conte gets a tune out of him as Spurs travel to Everton.
The Italian worked wonders with Chelsea during his previous spell in the league, so fingers crossed it works again. Those that fancy him to hit the ground running straight away can back Spurs at 7/5 to win at Goodison Park.
Jimenez bagged against Everton on Monday and Wolves’ fixtures still look appealing, so we stand by the Mexican.
Last but not least, we have Antonio. It might be time to think about chopping Antonio due to the difficulty of West Ham’s upcoming games, but that’s a decision we can ponder during the international break.
Captain – Mohamed Salah
