Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich – Both Teams to Score
The Bundesliga’s top two sides meet at the BayArena in what should be an action-packed fixture filled with goals.
It’s been a great start to life for new Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane, winning five of his first seven Bundesliga matches, including their last three on the spin.
After five straight Bundesliga wins, Bayern Munich surprisingly lost 1-2 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt last time to allow Leverkusen to go level on points with them at the top.
It’s no surprise to see these two sides are the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer’s, scoring 20 and 24 respectively. Bayern have only kept two clean sheets in the Bundesliga while Leverkusen have three.
St Gallen vs Servette – Over 2.5 Goals
After defeating bottom side Lausanne Sport 1-2 on the first day of the season, St Gallen have went on an eight game winless streak, losing each of their last four fixtures.
St Gallen are conceding goals at an alarming rate, conceding 14 times in those four defeats and 23 goals overall. They’re yet to keep a clean sheet and it’s no surprise they’ve the leakiest defence.
After going five games unbeaten which included a 5-1 win over their opponents, Servette were brought back down to life as they were thumped 0-6 by Young Boys last time out.
Servette are yet to keep a clean sheet but only Young Boys and Basel have stopped them scoring while only Basel have stoped St Gallen from scoring.
Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur – Both Teams to Score
It’s the day fans of Newcastle United have been waiting for. After 14 years of torture, they play their first fixture without Mike Ashley as their owner at a sold-out St James’ Park.
On the Park, Newcastle lie in 19th and are still winless, earning only three draws. This is due to the fact that the Magpies are yet to keep a clean sheet and having the joint worst defensive record in the league.
Newcastle have only failed to score once in the league this season away to Villa and will fancy their chances of scoring against a Spurs side who’ve conceded three times in both of their most recent away matches.
However, Tottenham still posses the fire power of Heung Min Son and Harry Kane and will expect to breach Newcastle’s leaky back line at least once.
Copenhagen to Score 2+
Only a stoppage time Viborg equaliser last time out stopped it from being eight wins out of nine for title chasing Copenhagen, as they sit in 2nd position, three points behind Midtjylland.
Away from home, it’s been a perfect start for Copenhagen, winning all five matches and scoring 16 times. What more, Copenhagen have scored at least twice in all five of those victories.
It’s been a poor season for SønderjyskE so far, collecting only eight points from their first 11 fixtures.
SønderjyskE have conceded 16 goals so far this season, conceding multiple goals on six occasions, including a 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.
Gent vs Eupen – Over 2.5 Goals
While it may be no surprise to many that both these sides sit at opposite ends of the table, it would surprise many that it’s Eupen in 2nd spot and Gent that’s in 14th.
Eupen have took 20 points from their first 10 fixtures this season, with them also being the leagues joint top scorers with 21 goals. Only third placed Antwerp have stopped them from scoring in the league so far.
Gent have an atrocious away record but have lost only one of their five home matches, winning three. In all five of those home games, Gent have scored a minimum of two goals, including scoring six against champions Club Brugge.
Both these sides do conceded goals though with them only keeping one clean sheets each. 4/5 of Gent’s home games have seen at least three strikes, with all five of Eupen’s away games breaking the over 2.5 goal barrier.
