Our tipster has a race-by-race look at the Newcastle card, hoping to uncover some winners.
5.00 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Handicap (2m)
Sir Mark Prescott’s 3YO LINDWALL comes here on an upward curve after wins at Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Chelmsford (1m5f/1m6f) over the last month. He carries a 6lb penalty for his win five days ago but the step up to this 2m trip looks sure to aid him and he is fancied to check off another winning stop on his all-weather tour of Britain.
Selection: Lindwall @ 4/6
5.30 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Handicap (1m4½f)
Golden Hind is bidding for a hat-trick and was a winner over C&D last time out, he is only 2lb higher here and should be going well again. PALLAS DANCER has been runner-up in four starts over 1m2f at this venue since May and he ran another sound race at Nottingham on the turf recently. The War Command gelding is off an unchanged mark and his luck might change if he handles this increased trip.
Selection: Pallas Dancer @ 9/2
6.00 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head EBF Novice Stakes (6f)
Foxy Rascal didn’t match market expectations on his debut at Pontefract in July but he made no mistake over this C&D last month and should be in the firing line again despite his penalty. Neptunian certainly offered something to work with on his Newbury debut last month, finishing fifth, and is likely to improve on that, but newcomer PINK CRYSTAL is a Shamardal filly with plenty going for her and can have a major say first time out for William Haggas and Cieren Fallon.
Selection: Pink Crystal @ 4/1
6.30 – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Nursery Division 1 (6f)
POCKET THE PROFIT was an easy winner at Wolverhampton on Monday, following up a prior success at Brighton, and George Boughey’s gelded son of Mayson will be hard to oppose turning out again now. Heart Of Kabeir has shown minor promise in three starts on the turf at Catterick and could improve for Richard Fahey now tackling a nursery for the first time on AW bow.
Selection: Pocket The Profit @ 11/8
7.00 – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Nursery Division 2 (6f)
The Keith Dalgleish-trained HOT DIGGITY DOG has improved since moving into handicaps on turf and was placed at Musselburgh (5f, good) in a first-time visor when last spotted in August. The headgear is retained here and returning to 6f ought to suit on the all-weather bow. The yard have notched six winners already in October and this son of Dandy Man can go well.
Selection: Hot Diggity Dog @ 7/1
7.30 – MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap (1m)
For consistency it’s hard to knock COSMOS RAJ in this line-up. David O’Meara’s runner has won three times on turf since he was last spotted on the all-weather in the spring. He has also finished second at Newmarket and York on his last two appearances. From an unchanged mark he returns to the all-weather with sound claims having made the frame in 3-4 previous AW appearances.
Selection: Cosmos Raj @ 9/2
8.00 – Follow MansionBet On Twitter Maiden Stakes (7f)
Top Table passed on a good opening at Wolverhampton on second start, finishing second as even-money favourite. John & Thady Gosden’s filly should be scoring soon. Once-raced Pontefract runner-up BALTIC COAST could leave her settling for minor money again. Simon & Ed Crisford’s son of New Approach was left with plenty ground to make up in the debut run and finished off well.
Selection: Baltic Coast @ 11/4
8.30 – Download The MansionBet App Apprentice Handicap (6f)
A dual C&D in October 2020, BURROWS SEESIDE is now back within 2lb of his most recent win-mark here. Philip Kirby’s charge finished fourth over track and trip three weeks ago, meeting some trouble in the run at a crucial stage, and has been dropped in the ratings for that. That was over 7f and, back at this distance, he is a player.
Selection: Burrows Seeside @ 5/1
