AFTER a monumental win over Israel on Saturday, Steve Clarke has claimed Scotland’s next three matches are cup finals in their quest to make to it to the 2022 World Cup Finals.
The Scots are in pole position to secure second spot in the group and need to avoid any slip ups at the Faroes Islands tonight and against Moldova in November.
The Tartan Army were europhic after the last gasp winner at the weekend but Clarke seems to have kept the players’ feet on the ground. They’d do well to remember the pitfalls of a visit to the North Atlantic archipelago where Scotland have drawn twice previously.

The Danes have been the top performers across all UEFA qualifying groups so far; 7 games, 7 wins, 26 goals scored, zero conceded. So add them to win at home v Austria, alongside a win for the Scots.
England need just two wins from their remaining three games to confirm their seats on the plane to Qatar. Albania emerged as their closest competitors when they stunned Hungary on Saturday, notching a second 1-0 win aginst them this campaign. That’s left Hungary in fourth place in the group and all but out of the running.
The Three Lions should put them out of their misery at Wembley tonight. Gareth Southgate’s men romped to 4-0 win when the countries met in September and it could be a similar story this evening.
