Cristiano Ronaldo’s much-anticipated second debut for Manchester United against Newcastle at Old Trafford is the highlight on a busy day of Premier League football on Saturday.
The top-flight club action resumes following the international break and the Red Devils’ fans are set to welcome back the Portuguese superstar, who is set to play for United for the first time since leaving for Real Madrid in 2009.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keeping his cards close to his chest over whether the 36-year-old will start the game but he will definitely feature at some point when he is expected to play his part in a convincing home win.
Ronaldo can Make Immediate Impact
Former defender Steve Bruce has asked his Magpies players to spoil the party but anything other than three points for Solskjaer’s men would be a big shock and backing them to score over 2.5 goals appeals at 4/5. The home faithful will be desperate to see a Ronaldo goal, on offer at 4/9, while for those looking for more value, the forward is 9/4 to provide an assist and 5/1 to score a header.

Also at 3pm, champions Manchester City go to Leicester, where Pep Guardiola’s side are 10/17 to win. The visitors have been boosted ahead of the game after Brazilian duo Ederson and Gabriel Jesus were cleared to play following talks between FIFA and South American countries who initially invoked a five-day ban after clubs refused to release their stars for international action due to concerns they would have to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival back to the UK.
Win at Last for Gunners?
Elsewhere, Arsenal must surely get their season up and running with a victory over Norwich at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta is under increasing pressure following three straight defeats for the Gunners so far but they welcome a Canaries side who have also lost three out of three. Arsenal to win by a two-goal margin at 33/10 might be an astute selection.

West Ham have made a fine start to the season, winning two and drawing the other of their first three games, and they look good value at 5/4 to pick up another three points at Southampton, who have yet to win this season.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have lost a Premier League-high 16 games in 2021, they’ve kept just one clean sheet in their past 24 league matches and they are facing a Hammers side who have won three of their last four league games on the road.
Chelsea Too Strong for Villa
In the evening kick-off at 5:30pm, Chelsea host Aston Villa with the Blues looking to make it 10 points from a possible 12 at the start of the season.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have conceded just one goal so far and Chelsea have a great recent record at home against Villa, losing just one of their past 16 meetings at Stamford Bridge, winning 11 and drawing four.
Villa have only failed to score in one of their last 13 Premier League games, though, and with the likes of Anwar El Ghazi and Danny Ings in their ranks, they can at least register on Saturday even if it they may ultimately end up on the losing side. Chelsea to win and both teams to score is available at 23/10.
