Famalicao v Sporting
It’s bottom against top in the Portuguese league with champions Sporting hitting the road as they bid to continue their flawless start.
The Lisbon giants have won all three league outings so far with the only goal conceded coming at last season’s fourth-place side Braga.
Famalicao ended in mid-table but have made a disastrous start to the new campaign with three straight defeats.
Sporting don’t concede many – a miserly defence was a big factor in their title success – and an away win and under 4.5 goals is the call.
Atalanta v Bologna
Atalanta weren’t at their best last weekend but still made a winning start in Serie A with a 2-1 triumph at Torino.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s attacking philosophy makes the Bergamo outfit one of the most incisive and entertaining sides in Italy and they can prey on a Bologna team who leak goals.
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men fought back to beat newly-promoted Salernitana 3-2 in their opener but this is a step up in class and they’ve lost seven successive trips to Atalanta, most recently a 5-0 walloping last term.
Marseille v St Etienne
Marseille should be in for a calmer evening than last weekend’s game with Nice which was abandoned after fans stormed the pitch.
Jorge Sampaoli’s side will score plenty this season with their adventurous outlook and their two outings so far brought a 3-2 win at Montpellier and 2-2 draw with Bordeaux.
Back them to net at least a couple again when St Etienne, who’ve drawn their three outings 1-1, 2-2 and 1-1 – visit the Stade Velodrome.
Euro Treble
- Atalanta & over 2.5 goals (5.30pm)
- Marseille to score 2+ (8pm)
- Sporting & under 4.5 goals (8.30pm)
- (4.4-1, Ladbrokes)
