Montrose v Dumbarton
MONTROSE have been the punters’ pals recently and there’s no reason to abandon them this week at a very fair 17/20 when struggling Dumbarton visit Links Park.
Stewart Petrie’s side are top of the league having won three of their for league games and are going great guns.
Graham Webster has now netted in his last four games and the Gable Endies are playing with plenty of confidence.
They face a Dumbarton side who have only won one of their nine games this season in the league and cup and appear to be struggling.
You would think the home side would be a lot shorter price, so they are begging to be backed and, while it may be unrealistic for them to challenge the bigger clubs in this league, their run could go on for some time yet.
Motherwell v Dundee
MOTHERWELL are a generous 11/8 to beat a Dundee side who don’t travel too well.
Graham Alexander’s side got off the mark in the Premiership last week with a fine comeback win at Livingston and it was much needed.
However, Well had been playing decently and the win was overdue.
Well did lose at Dundee in the League Cup, but they have home advantage and Dundee won’t want to be reminded what happened to them in their last game away from Tayside where they were given a 6-0 hiding by Celtic.
Obviously, Well aren’t Celtic, but the Dens Park side appear to have been given too much respect here and Motherwell can follow up that win with their first league success at Fir Park.
Kilmarnock v Inverness
KILMARNOCK should underline their Championship title credentials with a win against Caley Thistle at Rugby Park.
Tommy Wright’s side have started life in the second tier with three wins out of three without conceding a goal.
They are playing against the Inverness side who are pretty mean themselves when it comes to conceding goals – they’ve won all of their Championship games by a 1-0 scoreline.
So something will have to give and it could be the Highlanders who crumble in Ayrshire.
Scott Robinson got off the mark last week after a delayed debut and he looks a class above the Championship.
He can help Killie keep up their winning ways.
