Gaskin’s Stayer to Take the Final
Santro Duke is going to be a short price in the monkey final at 19.44 but justifiably so. This is a track that not everyone takes to at the first time of asking but Jimmy Gaskin’s charge flew round last week, thrashing a solid local yardstick in the process.
It looks entirely probable that with that experience under his belt, he is going to go quicker still tonight which is going to make him very hard to stop.
Turkey to Gobble up the Opposition
The striped jacket suits Chasing Turkey well at Central Park but he moved sharply left from that draw in six here last week, getting a bump on the run to the bend. He then tried to go up the inside of the re-opposing Indian Trump at the third bend, getting his run chopped off.
The middle pace he showed was impressive to take a few lengths out of that top local so starting with a draw inside that same rival should suit him much better tonight in the 20.23 for Dave Lee.
Stayer to Enjoy the Calmer Waters
She lacks a look round Harlow but the company that Troy Suzieeq has been racing in of late for David Mullins has been far stronger than she faces in tonight’s 21.02. She has been an adaptable type so far in her career so first look here isn’t a big concern.
This 769m trip should suit her perfectly if she can get some early racing room next door to Ballyea Sally who won a maiden contest over trip last Wednesday night and steps back up in class.
Penny Is the Clear Choice
Choices Penny did everything wrong on her Harlow debut last week. She skewed exiting the traps and then ran right off at the opening turn, losing a comfortable three or four lengths in the process.
She should come on plenty for that sighter, with her recent Romford form reading well at this level. A clean break tonight can see her claim the 19.24 for Jean Liles.
Hunt to Provide a Chocolate Treat
The 18.48 is a trappy looking affair where Holiday Twix gets the nod for Nathan Hunt. He has some solid efforts at Romford to his credit and has had a trial here to gain some knowledge of the track.
That can prove the decisive factor against Brookside Jack who would arguably be a slightly better hound at their home track of Romford but who lacks any experience of this new venue.
