Paris Legion enter this match as underdogs, which makes a lot of sense. They have managed only one win during the CDL Stage 5 group stage (1-4) against the shaky Los Angeles Thieves (3-1) but were otherwise very unconvincing with their performances.
The Legion’s main issue is a lack of consistency, and while there will be moments where you’ll be impressed with what they show, those moments are scarce. Paris can be very efficient on Apocalypse – Hardpoint, so there is some potential, but take that away from them, and you’re left with a mediocre team.
Seattle Surge have been struggling this season, but they seem to play at their best on LAN. Although we don’t expect them to make a deep run at the CDL Stage 5 Major, Seattle should deliver against a Paris side who they demolished (3-0) at the previous Major.

You could make a strong case for Los Angeles Guerrillas as the worst team in the league. They haven’t been playing well for a while now, and it shows in their 2-16 record across the last 18 outings, with their only wins coming against Seattle Surge and the inconsistent Los Angeles Thieves.
It’s unclear whether James “Clayster” Eubank will return to action for this match. As of last week, he was on vacation, and considering the Subliners are already guaranteed a spot at the 2021 CDL Championship – with little to no chance to improve their seeding – the team will likely continue with Conor “Diamondcon” Johst.
Diamondcon is a noticeable downgrade to Clayster; however, even without their star player, the Subliners shouldn’t struggle on Thursday.
