Shocks were few and far between in Scotland on Tuesday night but Queen’s Park will be aiming to claim a Premiership scalp in the Premier Sports Cup tonight.
The Spiders, who defeated Championship side Queen of the South on Saturday welcome Motherwell to Firhill (their home for the season) and will fancy their chance of catching Well cold.
Graham Alexander’s Motherwell massively underperformed last term and he’ll need to get off to a good start or he’ll find himself under early fan pressure. But this one could be a banana skin, Queen’s Park are hugely ambitious and have invested well in their squad which brought them promotion to League One last season.
They’re 6/1 to claim the win but the lack of suprise results in the competition so far makes that a less attractive proposition. Instead look for the Spiders to keep Motherwell at bay with no goal before the 26th minute at 5/6 with Bet365.
Dundee Utd, under new manager Thomas Court, got off to a winning start in a tricky tie against Kelty Hearts on Friday night and should be untroubled by Elgin at Tannadice on Tuesday.
We might be pushing our luck here but our Super Single has landed both times we’ve opted for a team to score 2+ while their lower ranked oppostion fail to score, including Dundee’s win over Brora on Tuesday, and the Arabs can do so for us again on Wednesday at 11/8.
There’s four more Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday night and Tolu has previewed the pick of the bunch where runaway Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt need to turn around a 3-2 deficit in Poland at Legia Warsaw.
