It’s a real Super Saturday of racing action across Britain this week with high-class action wherever we look.

1.50 Ascot
Implore (second) holds Atrium (third) on their clash at Doncaster two weeks ago and the Cheveley Park runner should maintain that supremacy en route to a big run here assuming they cope with the softer ground that’s forecast. Unspoken may do better here than at Goodwood but again ships a penalty. The newcomer Khanjar represents top connections and any traction behind him would be noted but SIR DUKE ran well on his Newcastle AW debut last month despite a rough start to the race. Improvement is likely and he’s got solid place claims.

2.25 Ascot
The likes of Future Investment and Ispahan are capable of winning in this company but they may be bumping into one here in the form of SPANISH KISS. William Knight’s gelded son of Lope De Vega has quickly taken to turf with wins at York (1m4f, soft) and Newmarket (1m6f, good to soft) in May/June. The assessor has reacted with an 8lb rise and he’s now in a better race but he does look to be progressing and can make it 3-3 on turf with conditions favourable again.

3.00 Ascot
Century Dream (first) and Top Rank (second) fought out a finish in Listed company at Windsor a fortnight ago and should go well, while Al Suhail has been gelded since last spotted in Dubai in the spring and he received a positive word from trainer Charlie Appleby on Friday. Sir Busker drops in class but so does TILSIT and his Longchamp second behind the classy Skalleti in a Group 1 last time was eye-catching. A reproduction of that may be enough to land the Summer Mile for the First Defence Colt in the Juddmonte colours for Charlie Hills and Kieran Shoemark.

3.35 Ascot
Lots of these merit consideration but perhaps none more so that BOUNDLESS POWER for Mick Appleby. The Slade Power gelding has posted figures of 2121 in four starts this season and remains on an upward curve following his May success at Nottingham (5f, soft). A 3lb rise is negotiable for this Irish import and if the ground remains on the soft side that’s in his favour too. Last week’s Sandown winner Hurricane Ivor can joins the likes of Significantly and Nomadic Empire on the long-list.

4.10 Ascot
Caspian Queen and Achelois are entitled to be players despite meeting with defeat in their most recent starts. Andrew Balding’s filly was third at Sandown four weeks ago and runs here off the same mark but she gives 8lb to recent Leicester scorer APPELLATION and, at the prices, the Kodiac filly is preferred for Richard Hughes and Cam Hardie. That was a winning handicap debut late last month and the fourth, Eponina, was a winner at Doncaster on Thursday. Further progress is likely.

4.45 Ascot
Surrey Gold is 12lb higher than when dismantling his rivals at Newbury in May but Hughie Morrison’s son of Golden Horn seemingly could have plenty more to come based on that display. He’s running into another progressive sort now in DHUSHAN for the William Haggas team. The Sea The Stars colt did it quite it readily when making a winning handicap bow at Musselburgh on Derby Day last month (Glen Again behind in second) and a 7lb rise is tolerable. Any drying ground will be his friend. Irish Legend was a Royal Ascot eye-catcher in defeat over shorter last time (soft) and should have a say in the finish now.

5.20 Ascot
A wide open finale. Little Boy Blue and Spanish Star are in-form albeit being asked to find more in this field – they are capable sorts. David O’Meara and Danny Tudhope will anticipate a big run from COLD STARE, who operates on softer ground and has routinely been contesting better races than this one. He has been running well in such races of late and perhaps can take advantage of the class-drop now.
