Belgium v Portugal
If Portugal manage to hold on to their Euro crown this summer, nobody can say they had it easy.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Co managed to survive the Euro 2020 Group of Death despite losing to Germany and drawing with world champions France.
Now their reward is a last-16 clash with the world’s No.1 side – Belgium. It’s another huge test for Fernando Santos’ men but they head into it battle ready after two titanic clashes.
Belgium claimed three wins in their group but this game will give us a better indication of their mettle.
Portugal are a step up in class from Russia, Denmark and Finland so Roberto Martinez’s men will need to be on top of their game.
It’s a tough one to call and that’s reflected in the odds with the Belgians 23/15 at VBet and Portugal 19/9 with the same firm.
The draw at 90 minutes pays 5/2 at Bet365 and that could be worth considering as there’s not much between the sides.
Martinez used Belgium’s final group game to get more minutes into legs of Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne on their comebacks from injury.
De Bruyne showed how important he is to the team when he came off the bench in Denmark to provide a goal and an assist.
He set up another goal against Finland and is 5/2 with McBookie for an assist in tomorrow’s game.
The man most likely to get on the end of his deliveries is Romelu Lukaku and the big striker netted against Finland to take his tally to three at Euro 2020.
The Inter Milan ace was my pick for top scorer heading into the tournament and is 8/5 with Betway for a goal tomorrow.
But it’s Cristiano Ronaldo who’s setting the early pace in the race for the golden boot after netting five times in the group stage.
Three of those goals have come from the spot and Bet365 are offering 11/2 on Portugal scoring another penalty against Belgium.
Goals have been flowing in Portugal’s games so far with 13 scored in their three group clashes.
Belgium have also netted seven times so it bodes well for an entertaining game, even though things can often be a bit more cagey in the knockout rounds.
Over 2.5 goals is priced 6/5 at SBK and that stands a chance of coming up while I fancy the half-time draw at 11/10 with Bet365.
Netherlands v Czech Republic
Today’s other clash sees the Netherlands take on the Czech Republic and I fancy the Dutch at 4/6 (McBookie).
I flagged up Frank De Boer’s men as potential tournament top scorers and they have been scoring freely so far, netting eight times in the group stage.
Over 1.5 goals for De Boer’s side tomorrow pays 4/5 at Bet365 and that’s great value for accas.
Wing-back Denzel Dumfries has been a huge threat down the right and he’s 7/2 with McBooke to provide an assist.

Brazil vEquador
BRAZIL haven’t put a foot wrong in defence of their Copa America title and seem to be justifying their status as favourites.
Three wins in a row have already secured a spot in the quarter-finals ahead of Sunday’s final group game with Ecuador.
But it’s not a dead rubber with the Ecuadorians battling with Venezuela for the final spot in the last eight from Group B.
Only goal difference is keeping Ecuador’s noses in front so they will be out to avoid a heavy defeat.
Rampant Brazil have been averaging three goals a game but boss Tite could rest his stars for this game with top spot secured.
So I’d suggest under 2.5 match goals could be worth a shout at 15/13 with SportNation.
The likes of Gabriel Barbosa and Everton could start for Brazil as they freshen things up.
Flamengo’s Barbosa scored against Venezuela in the group opener and is 5/4 with Unibet for a goal. That increases to 19/5 if you back him to score first.
