Russia v Denmark
Denmark were being touted as potential dark horses for the tournament and although they aren’t heading home just yet, they need to ensure that they don’t make any further mistakes here.
The Danes were understandably distracted during their match with Finland and they played well throughout the majority of their 2-1 defeat to Belgium. Kasper Hjulmund’s side have struggled to convert their chances and the lack of an instinctive poacher in their squad could count against them.
They’ve had over 40 shots across their opening two matches, yet they’ve scored just once and that came courtesy of a Jason Denayer defensive error.
They need to take three points from this tie and with Russia struggling for firepower, they should be able to get the job done. However, it won’t be easy and they may have to scrap their way to a victory.

Finland v Belgium
Belgium are through to the round of 16 and they will be feeling extremely confident coming into this tie. The Red Devils have spread the goals around and they needed the energy and pinpoint accuracy of Kevin de Bruyne to get them over the line against Denmark. With his side expected to progress to the latter stages of the tournament, Roberto Martinez may be tempted to shuffle his pack for this one and that may result in a disjointed performance during the first half.
Finland have picked up three points from their opening two matches, and their games have been extremely tight. They have managed just two shots on target so far and won’t offer much going forward, yet they will keep things tight.
Belgium may have to work for this victory.
