Finland vs Belgium

Finland and Belgium lock horns in Saint Petersburg in their final game of the group. Belgium have already qualified and just need to avoid defeat to secure top spot whereas Finland need a win to secure qualification although a draw may be good enough.
Last time out Finland suffered a narrow loss to Russia in Saint Petersburg. An Aleksey Miranchuk goal in first half stoppage time done the damage as Finland could not respond in the second half. A lack of creativity is a big problem for Finland and I can’t see them troubling Belgium’s defence too much. Finland will likely sit back and soak up the Belgium pressure however I can’t see them keeping out the Belgians.
Belgium secured their passage into the last 16 with a 2-1 win in Copenhagen against Denmark. Belgium were actually lucky to get all 3 points and went into the break down 1-0. However, Kevin De Bruyne made an instant impact from the bench and turned the game around. Belgium will want to keep the momentum going and secure top spot with all 3 points. Roberto Martinez will likely make changes but such is the strength in depth in their squad, they should have enough quality to break down Finlands defence and secure another 3 points.
Russia vs Denmark

Russia travel to Copenhagen to face Denmark in a crucial game for both sides. Russia know a win will secure their spot In the last 16 whereas Denmark need to win to have any chance of qualification.
Russia secured an important 3 points against Finland in Saint Petersburg last time as an Aleksey Miranchuk goal secured all 3 points. Russia weren’t exactly impressive though but got the all important goal and then kept out their opponents who lack a great deal of creativity. This will be their first game of the tournament outside of their homeland and after not being impressive in both games at home, I see them struggling here against their hosts.
How Denmark enter their final group game with no points is somewhat unbelievable. They’ve dominated both games they’ve played but lost both games by a solitary goal. I was really impressed by Denmark last out against Belgium despite being beaten and a similar performance of that against Russia this evening should be good enough for all 3 points. With nothing short of a win good enough for Denmark and a home crowd behind them, I see Denmark getting the all important win.
Bet of the Day
Group B concludes with this evening as the other 3 sides below Belgium all still in contention to qualify. Despite already qualifying, Belgium should be too strong for Finland and do enough for 3 points, even if not at full strength. Despite have no points so far, I’ve been much more impressed with the Danes than I have with Russia and see them getting all 3 points in front of their own fans.
