Hungary v Portugal
Hungary are tough opposition at home and they’ve lost just three times on their own patch since mid-2018. This is a huge step up and although they should make it difficult for Fernando Santos’ men, they are likely to inevitably fall short.
They held Ireland to a goalless draw in their final warm-up match and also beat Turkey 2-0 here in the Nations League. Portugal were very competent during Euro 2016 and they were exceptionally hard to beat.
They have the match-winning talent in their squad, and even if you don’t include the evergreen Cristiano Ronaldo, they still have the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Diogo Jota ready to fire.
One of their mercurial talents is likely to come up with a single moment of magic to win this contest.

France v Germany
These two sides are expected to be closely matched, and despite this game being played in Munich, it’s France who should come out on top.
Germany’s recent form is worrying, although they regularly turn up for big tournaments. Although both teams have players missing, it’s Goretzka’s absence which is likely to hit them the hardest.
France have plenty of talent in their side, and if it isn’t working, Didier Deschamps can simply opt to mix things up. This should be an excellent game between two entertaining sides, but Les Bleus should edge this one.
