Douglas Lima returns to the Welterweight division on Saturday when he puts his belt on the line against Yaroslav Amosov at Mohegan Sun Arena.
There is a fantastic lineup on the card in Uncasville, Connecticut with Welterweight gold up for grabs as Bellator welcomes back fans for the first time in 15 months.
The added factor of an atmosphere is expected to take the action to the next level and their is plenty of talent on show.
Lima Set for Serious Test
Lima has blown away the division over the past couple of years, landing defeats on Andrey Koreshkov, Michael Page and Rory MacDonald to claim the belt.
He goes into this clash on the back of a defeat, albeit at middleweight, and will hope to get back on track in his favoured division.
Standing across from the champion is the extremely impressive Amosov, who is looking to extend his undefeated streak to 26.
Since making his Bellator debut in 2018, Dynamo has won six in a row and there is every reason to believe he can make that seven this weekend.
There’s little to pick between the two fighters and that has been represented in the market, with Lima priced at 5/6 and Amosov available at 20/21.
Just two of Lima’s eight professional defeats have come inside the distance, therefore, backing over 4.5 rounds at 4/7 also offers interest.
Semtex Ready to Explode
The co-main event sees Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley take on Jason Jackson in a 175lb catchweight bout.
He is riding a three-fight winning streak and most recently earned an impressive triumph over Sabah Homasi in April.
Daley, who will be taking part in his 63rd MMA bout, has his sights set on the top of the Welterweight division and could be in line to face either Lima or Amosov if he comes through against Jackson.
The Nottingham-born 38-year-old is the 39/20 underdog, while Jamaica’s Jackson can be backed at 5/14.
Lee Looking to Cause Upset
Britain’s Aiden Lee steps out on American soil for the first time with Bellator after competing on three European cards with the company.
The 26-year-old is eyeing a third consecutive win after beating Canada’s Jeremy Petley and Poland’s Damian Frankiewicz.
His next obstacle comes in the shape of 24-year-old American Aaron Pico, who is ranked number six in the Featherweight division.
Many are already writing off Lee’s chances and he is priced at 5/1 with Pico going off as a heavy 1/9 favourite.
The pair were initially set to square off in April but the bout was postponed due to medical issues on the side of Pico.
