1.00 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 EBF Novice Stakes (6f)
Mark Johnston and Charlie Appleby hold excellent claims in the opener. Love De Vega has twice pocketed silver medals at Newmarket and Ayr already and he takes a slight class-drop now upped to six-furlongs here. He’s the form pick but KING’S GUARD is a promising debutant for Godolphin however and the Oasis Dream newcomer could be the one to side with in what isn’t a deep race with Appleby’s 2YO’s doing well.
Selection: King’s Guard @ 2/1
1.30 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Maiden Stakes (1m½f)
If Johnston is out of luck in the opener, the Middleham handler may not be left waiting long. GREEN BELIEVER lived up to his name on debut at Catterick (7f, soft) last month when in need of the experience and also seemingly not in love with slow ground. He should be much wiser now up in trip on this improved surface for Ben Curtis. Satono Chevalier cost €450,000 as a yearling and represents a top yard that have been amongst the winners of late, so he’s one to note.
Selection: Green Believer @ 15/2
2.10 – MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap (1m6f)
DENABLE showed improved form on the Fibresand at Southwell (1m4f) on his most recent start and Anthony Carson’s gelding should have solid claims if transferring that to the turf now over this longer trip. He was clear second behind a well-handicapped rival and the form has worked out well in the context of this race.
Selection: Denable @ 13/2
2.45 – Download The MansionBet App Handicap (6f)
Muscika ran a stormer at Epsom last weekend, perhaps only guilty of doing too much, too soon. David O’Meara’s charge is 3lb well-in here. DANCINGINTHEWOODS won at Leicester in April over this distance and ran well back there last month on ground slower than ideal. This faster surface will be perfect and he could be one to land on the scene quite late under Jamie Spencer for the first time.
Selection: Dancinginthewoods @ 9/2
3.20 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Handicap Division 1 (6f)
Market leader Refuge has so far shown himself best at 5f and will need to prove his stamina for this assignment. DAYSAQ might be one to give a chance to in an open heat. He’s 0-11 on the all-weather but his return at Wolverhampton last month was eye-catching to a degree as he stayed on late, not beaten that far. He’s debuting on turf here and a race of this ilk could be within his grasp.
Selection: Daysaq @ 10/1
3.55 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Handicap Division 2 (6f)
Top-weight Hail Sezer ran well at Newcastle over this trip recently and is a contender again from 2lb higher but JOHNNY ESTELLA is preferred. The No Nay Never gelding improved on handicap bow at Lingfield (6f, soft) last month to finished second and the first-time visor that is deployed now might just help him come on again.
Selection: Johnny Estella @ 3/1
4.30 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head Fillies’ Handicap (1m2f)
Jamie Spencer has a fine book of rides on this Nottingham card and GLENEAGLET is another that can go well. She was perhaps too keen in a Bath maiden over this trip on soft ground last time and had to settle for third in the end behind a couple of useful-looking rivals. An opening mark of 72 could prove workable for the Gleneagles filly, particularly if Spencer can get her switched off early on.
Selection: Gleneaglet @ 4/1
5.00 – Follow MansionBet Handicap (1m2f)
Having toyed with the notion of winning on the all-weather this year (second at Southwell and Lingfield in March), TEMUR KHAN again shaped well on his return to the grass at Brighton (1m4f, good) last month. He faded late on and, eased 1lb, is well worth trying over this shorter trip for the first time in three years and from a declining mark.
Selection: Temur Khan @ 6/1
