The Scots aren’t getting carried away but, it’s definitely coming hame!
Robbed of a 2-1 win by an overly generous referee, Steve Clarke’s will still be delighted with a 2-2 draw against a Dutch side rated 12/1 shots to win Euro 2020.
It was a result that probably left punters out of pocket but things were a bit more straight-forward in the other two matches featuring British sides. As expected, England won 1-0 against Austria in Middlesborough while 10-man Wales were soundly beaten by Euro 2020 favourites France.
Germany huffed and puffed to a 1-1 draw with Denmark and although they ‘can never be written off’ they’re a poor option at just 7/1 to be triumphant at Wembley on July 11th.
We’ll get a closer look at the team ranked No.1 in the world and third favourites to lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy, Belgium. Roberto Martinez’s side meet Greece in Brussels and have been very impressive in qualifying. With a favourable draw on paper the Belgians are expected to go deep in to the tournament.
They’re just 1/3 to win against the Greeks and definitely one for Thursday’s Accas.
Elsewhere Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are in friendly action and both have a bit of a rebuilding job on their hands.
Stephen Kenny’s side face Andorra and are just 1/6 to win but the win to nil appeals at 8/13 against the shot-shy minnows.
Things will be a little tougher for Northern Ireland who are up against a Ukraine side warming up for the Euros. Ian Baraclough’s side are usually tough to break down but under 2.5 goals is a bit short at 8/15. No goal before 35 mins would make more appeal at 5/6 (Bet365).
Sky Sports subscribers can also enjoy the semi-finals of the U21 European Championships. Spain and Portugal clash at 5pm while Tolu has taken a closer look at rvials Germany and Netherlands who meet in the 8pm kick-off.
