There were goals galore on the final day of the Championship on Saturday. A staggering 46 goals were scored in the 12 matches and as suggested here on Saturday every one of them saw Over 1.5 Goals scored at a very tasty 17/1.
Plenty of people jumpe on goals based bets so well done to all the winners.
It’s League One‘s turn to draw the curtain down on the league campaign on Sunday and it could be worth getting on the goals again. It’s a big ask for all games to go Over 1.5 Goals again but Skybet’s 6/5 on there being 35 or more goals in the 12 games could be worth a play. Just three of Saturday’s Championship games delivered 20 goals so a few like that on Sunday and you’d be halfway there.
Sunday could be the day that Man City are eventually crowned champions. They couldn’t do it under their own steam on Saturday as their Champions League final opponents, Chelseam ensured the champagne stayed on ice with a 2-1 win at the Etihad, but defeat for Man Utd at Villa Park today would see the blue half of Manchester scoop the title.
United can cut City’s lead to just four points by the next time they play but it would surely be inconceivable for Pep’s men to blow it from here. However it’s on United to push them all the way and they’re 4/5 to beat Aston Villa today.
West Ham can move to within two points of Leicester in the race for a Champions league slot. They host Everton at the London Stadium and with the visitors struggling for wins the 6/5 available on the Hammers looks tempting.
In Scotland, St Johnstone are slight favourites to join Hibs in the Scottish Cup final with a win in 90 minutes priced at 13/8 however Bet365 rank both them and St Mirren 10/11 shots to qualify. Callum Davidson’s side have been terrific this season and already have the Betfred Cup in the bag. It’s unlikely to be a classic but the Perth Saints should be a shorter price to win this based on recent form.
In Spain, Real Madrid can draw level with Atletico Madrid following Diego Simeone’s sides predictable 0-0 draw with Barcelona on Saturday. Sevilla have done well to hang on to the coat-tails of Spain’s big three in the title race but defeat in Madrid would all but end their title dream. Real have conceded just once in their last six La Liga matches and have this fixture to nil in three of the last four meetings. Another win without conceding is 9/4.
