Tundra Esports stunned OG (2-1) on Tuesday to improve their record to 2-2. It marked their second big performance of the tournament after they took a map off Team Secret (1-2) just a couple of weeks back.
Whether Tundra can defeat Team Liquid, however, is another question. Since acquiring Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan as a replacement for Samuel “Boxi” Svahn, Liquid have yet to lose a match and it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change on Saturday.
Team Liquid are in great form and clear favourites to win on Saturday, however, they’re not flawless. They struggled a bit with their synergy last week, which is something Tundra will be able to exploit and win one map. We don’t expect much more from the outriders though. Team Secret vs OG promises to be an exciting bout between two of the strongest European Dota 2 teams. Although OG are more successful internationally, it is Secret who usually get the better of them.
Last year Secret won eight out of 10 head-to-head bouts (8-2) with OG, to which they added another win (2-1) in February of this year. Despite their strong record against OG, Secret haven’t been playing too well of late and are 3-4 across the last month.
Like Secret, OG struggled to impress in 2021 and have played only four games (2-2) since the start of April. This is a match between two struggling juggernauts that can go both ways, however, we don’t believe either side is capable of a clean sweep. A 2-1 victory for Team Secret seems like the most likely outcome.
