Tomorrow’s 10-game schedule in the NBA will be headlined by two Western Conference juggernauts in the Clippers and the Nuggets.
On the other hand, the Pistons, Warriors, Bulls, Heat, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Pacers, Wizards, and Raptors take their act on the road as they’ll look to add a few more wins under their belt.
Today at SBOTOP, let’s examine these upcoming matches one by one.
Detroit Pistons @ Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets are hopeful at LaMelo Ball is going to return to action against the Pistons. He is currently listed as questionable due to his wrist injury.
Regardless on whether Ball plays or not, the Pistons have no incentive to win whatsoever and we can expect their youngsters to be given heavy minutes for this game.
Betting Tip – Charlotte Hornets Asian Handicap -5.50 @ 1.92
Golden State Warriors @ Houston Rockets
The fight for a postseason spot continues as the Warriors visit the languishing Rockets. They’re at the 10th spot in the West with a 31-32 record, which is at least two games behind the eighth-seeded Blazers.
Steph Curry and co. will have their hands full against the Rockets who are led by Kevin Porter Jr. The leftie swingman recently became the youngest player ever to drop 50 points and 10 assists against the Bucks.
Betting Tip – Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -7.50 @ 1.95
Chicago Bulls @ Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks look to solidify their playoff spot when they take on the Bulls. Atlanta have been one of the most surprising teams this season as they’re currently fifth in the East with a 34-30 record.
Atlanta are on a two-game losing skid while Chicago are also losers of three consecutive games.
The Bulls are hopeful that Zach LaVine makes his return soon as their NBA 2021 odds of making it to the postseason look dire since they are 11th in the East.
Miami Heat @ Cleveland Cavaliers
The Heat plan to exploit the Cavaliers’ shorthanded group on the road.
Darius Garland became the newest addition to Cleveland’s injury list as he suffered an ankle sprain against the Wizards.
He is considered day-to-day and he’ll be joining Matthew Dellavedova (neck), Isaiah Hartenstein (concusssion), Larry Nance Jr. (thumb), and Taurean Prince (ankle) on the sidelines.
Miami, meanwhile, won’t be lacking confidence since they came from a victory over the Spurs – which marked Erik Spoelstra’s 600th regular season win.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Orlando Magic
Memphis continue their mini-series against Orlando tomorrow. These two teams just squared off yesterday, where the Grizzlies won 92-75.
It was a low-scoring affair since neither shot well from the field. However, the Grizzlies were the better team as they were fueled by a 36-15 run in the third period.
Dillon Brooks led all scorers with 20 points, while Jonas Valanciunas had a 14-point, 15-rebound double-double.
Cole Anthony and Mo Bamba had 15 each in the losing effort for the Magic.
Betting Tip – Memphis Grizzlies Asian Handicap -10.50 @ 1.95
New Orleans Pelicans @ Minnesota Timberwolves
After failing to take down Denver last Wednesday, New Orleans bounced back with a solid win over the Thunder as Zion Williamson led the way with 27 points.
Taking on the Timberwolves provides an interesting challenge for the Pelicans’ play-in tilt since the former is on a four-game win streak – highlighted by back-to-back wins over the Jazz and victories against the Rockets and the Warriors.
Betting Tip – New Orleans Pelicans Asian Handicap -3.50 @ 1.96
Indiana Pacers @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Indiana are in a quandary since they’re placed ninth in the East and they’re missing key players.
Domantas Sabonis (back), Myles Turner (Toe), TJ Warren (foot), Jeremy Lamb (knee), JaKarr Sampson (concussion) and Goga Bitadze (ankle) aren’t expected to play against OKC while Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) is listed as questionable.
With all them out, Caris LeVert, Edmond Sumner, and Oshae Brissett will all play heavy minutes against a youth-laden Thunder squad, who are going to be better off if they’ll continue to tank games.
Washington Wizards @ Dallas Mavericks
Two topnotch floor generals go head-to-head as Russell Westbrook’s Wizards take on Luka Doncic’s Mavericks.
Given their capability to put up video game numbers, Westbrook and Doncic are expected to put up numerous NBA 2021 highlights tomorrow.
Bradley Beal is also a name to watch out for in this game, as well as Tim Hardaway Jr. – who recently dropped 42 points against the Pistons.
Toronto Raptors @ Utah Jazz
Utah plan to get back on their feet when they host Toronto at Salt Lake City. They are fresh from a tough defeat against the Suns yesterday, conceding their top spot in the Western Conference in the process.
The Raptors look to bust out of their slump as they try to sneak into the play-in. They have lost three of their last four matches.
Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Clippers
Tomorrow’s game between the Clippers and the Nuggets poses ramifications as far as the Western Conference seeding is concerned.
As of the moment, the third-seeded Clippers have the slight edge since they have one more win over the fourth-seeded Nuggets.
However, the Nuggets are enjoying a four-game winning streak, while the Clippers have lost two consecutive games.
Denver are still rolling even without Jamal Murray, as Michael Porter Jr. and MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic continue to lead the way.
Los Angeles are hopeful that Kawhi Leonard returns to action. The 2019 Finals MVP’s health will be key if they are to re-assert their title contender status.
