Rangers v Celtic
THE title race was over months ago but tomorrow’s Old Firm clash is still massive as Celtic bid to end Rangers’ unbeaten league run.
When the Hoops went through an entire Premiership campaign unbeaten four years ago under Brendan Rodgers most people thought we would never see such a feat again.
But Gers stand just three games away from going through this league programme without defeat as they bid to write the perfect ending to a season that has seen them end Celtic’s quest for 10 titles in a row.
Unlike Rodgers’ Invincibles, Rangers have tasted domestic defeats this term, crashing out of the cups to St Mirren and St Johnstone.
Steven Gerrard’s men will still be hurting from the dramatic Scottish Cup loss to the Perth Saints but this is the perfect fixture to pick them back up.
They are unbeaten in the last five derbies so it’s easy to see why McBookie make the Ibrox side 29/20 favourites for this one.
It ended 2-0 to Gers a few weeks ago when Celts last came to Ibrox but John Kennedy’s men wasted so many chances that day.
So I’m going to bet on both teams to score this time at a best 5/6 with SportNation while over 2.5 goals pays 66/67 at SBK.
It’s Scott Brown’s last Old Firm game before moving to Aberdeen so he’s bound to make an impact.
The Hoops skipper has been booked in his last four starts against Rangers and is 4/5 with Bet365 to sign off with another card.
He’s also 14/1 for a goal (Paddy Power) which might be worth a punt for sentimental Celtic fans.
St Mirren v Hamilton
It’s all about the battle to dodge the drop today in the Premiership and St Mirren look decent value at 5/6 with SkyBet to pile on Hamilton’s pain.
Dundee Utd v Ross County
Second-bottom Ross County head to Tannadice to face a Dundee United side boosted by their impressive Scottish Cup win over Aberdeen.
Both teams to score has paid off for me recently with County games and it’s 17/20 with McBookie here. United’s Marc McNulty also looks overpriced at 5/2 with Paddy Power for a goal after his double against the Dons.
Motherwell v Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock could struggle against in-form Motherwell if Kyle Lafferty remains on the sidelines. The Steelmen, unbeaten in their last five inside 90 minutes, are 19/10 at McBookie to win.
