Sheffield United welcome Arsenal to Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Sunday, a game they need to win if they are to have any chance of climbing off the bottom of the table.
The Blades players are resigned to relegation this season, but they have spoken about pride in the last few days as they try to avoid finishing bottom.
Paul Heckingbottom remains in caretaker charge in South Yorkshire, but he has not been able to lift the squad, with United losing their last four.
Gunners Hold the Quality
Even though Arsenal are out of form themselves, they should still have far too much quality for their hosts.
Mikel Arteta’s side have not won any of their previous four in all competitions, with their last success coming in the North London derby on March 14th.
Liverpool got the better of them during their last Premier League fixture, and the Blades have a good record against them at home.
Sheffield United are unbeaten in all four home Premier League matches against Arsenal, but the Gunners’ away form cannot be ignored.
Heckingbottom’s troops are low on confidence after several below-par performances, and Arteta’s men have not lost in their previous five on the road, and they should get the job done at odds of 5/8
.
Spurs to Take Advantage of United Injuries
Both Manchester United and Tottenham harbour hopes of finishing in the top four this season. The Red Devils have the advantage, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side second in the table and with games in hand up their sleeve.
Solskjaer’s team are six points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea, and Spurs need to starting racking up wins if they want to qualify for Europe’s elite competition.
Jose Mourinho’s troops, like United, are unbeaten in their last two fixtures, but they cannot afford to sit back on Sunday afternoon in north London.
They have won all of their previous five on home soil, keeping clean sheets in four of those games. Even though United have lost just two of their previous 15 on the road, the value bet appears to be backing Spurs.
Solskjaer could be without Luke Shaw, while Marcus Rashford is set to carry an injury into the game. Anthony Martial should miss the rest of the season, and Spurs should claim all three points at 9/5
.
Injuries to Play Their Part at London Stadium
West Ham can climb back into the top four with a win against Leicester City this weekend, but they should come unstuck on home soil.
Hammers boss David Moyes has already confirmed Michail Antonio will miss out due to a hamstring injury, and without their talisman, they should struggle to retain possession in the capital.
Midfielder Declan Rice is also on the sidelines, and Leicester are in good form under Brendan Rodgers. The Foxes have only tasted defeat in one of their previous five, while away from home, they are unbeaten in 13 matches.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy seem to be forming a deadly partnership, and Leicester should be considered at 7/5
