Fnatic lost their opening match of the tournament against Team Liquid on Thursday with 11-16 on Overpass and 7-16 on Vertigo. We did not expect much from Fnatic in that encounter, however, and we don’t expect to see any notable improvement from them going forward.
Evil Geniuses might not make a deep run in the ESL Pro League, but they’ve looked far more stable more across the last couple of months compared to the Swedes. While the latest CS:GO betting odds suggest Fnatic should be favoured to win, our read on this matchup says the price on Evil Geniuses should drop rapidly over the next 24 hours.
Until we see more stability from Fnatic, betting against them is the way to go when they’re facing a capable team. A moneyline bet on EG to win is a solid pick, but the value on the map handicap is too good to ignore.

Like with the Fnatic vs Evil Geniuses fixture, the betting odds for this match make no sense. Although Astralis aren’t in great form, this is still one of the top three teams in the world. There is no way the Danes should be priced as high as $1.69 against Virtus.pro.
Virtus.pro might have eliminated Astralis from IEM Katowice not too long ago, but that result doesn’t mean much and it definitely doesn’t convince us that the CIS squad will be as successful on Saturday. A moneyline bet on Astralis at these odds is good enough for us.

With all due respect, Endpoint shouldn’t stand a chance against Team Liquid – and not necessarily because TL are that strong, but because Endpoint are much worse than the North American side. Liquid won their opening match of the tournament against Fnatic 2-0 on Thursday and dropped only 18 rounds in the process, and since Fnatic are stronger than Endpoint, it’s easy to guess how this game should end.
There is no real reason to investigate this fixture much further than that. Team Liquid will win it 2-0, so throw you money on the favourites to cover the map line. Some might also want to take a shot on the under 50.5 rounds at $3.36 on the assumption that Endpoint won’t reach double digits on any map.
