Bayern to Overpower Resilient Bremen

Bayern Munich will be looking to preserve their place at the top of the Bundesliga standings when they visit Werder Bremen on Saturday.

There is another full programme of fixtures taking place in the German top flight this weekend with matches affecting both ends of the table, including Bayern’s trip to the Weserstadion.

Bayern Looking to Outscore Opponents Again

Reigning champions Bayern will head into the weekend sitting two points clear of nearest rivals RB Leipzig at the top of the standings, with their rise to the summit coming largely thanks to their prolific attack

Hansi Flick’s side have scored 21 more goals than any other team in the division and have netted in every league game this season, but the Bavarians haven’t been so impressive at the other end of the pitch and have kept just three clean sheets in their last 19 top-flight matches.

Werder will be hoping to capitalise on that defensive fragility on Saturday but Florian Kohfeldt’s side have a poor record against Bayern, having failed to win any of the last 28 meetings between the two sides.

Backing Bayern to win and both teams to score. which is available at 6/5, looks like it could be the way to go in this clash.

Wolfsburg to Maintain Top-Four Push

Wolfsburg have been one of the form teams in the Bundesliga since the turn of the year, although they did see their nine-game unbeaten run come to an end when they were beaten 2-1 at Hoffenheim last weekend.

That loss could threaten to derail Oliver Glasner’s side, who currently sit third in the Bundesliga standings, but they should have no problems returning to winning ways when rock-bottom Schalke visit the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday.

Wolfsburg have not tasted defeat on home soil in the league all season, winning seven of their 11 games, while Schalke are without an away win in the Bundesliga since November 2019.

This certainly looks like being a home banker and given Wolfsburg also boast the best home defence in the Bundesliga, they look good value to win to zero at 1/1.

Leipzig to Bounce Back From Euro Exit

RB Leipzig were comprehensively dumped out of the Champions League by Liverpool during the week, but their form in the Bundesliga has been faultless of late and they have won six matches on the spin.

Next up for Julian Nagelsmann’s side is a tough clash against fourth-place Eintracht Frankfurt at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

Frankfurt had been on an 11-game unbeaten league run prior to their defeat at Bremen in their last away fixture and their form on the road has been patchy all season, winning just five of their 12 league games on their travels.

Adi Hutter’s side have also never won at Leipzig, losing on three of their four previous visits, so backing another home victory on Sunday could prove shrewd at 20/27.
