Hibernian v Hamilton
HIBS can get the better of Hamilton Accies at Easter Road, but expect Brian Rice’s much-improved side to score in the capital.
Jack Ross’ men appear to have been gifted third spot with Aberdeen’s form fallen off a cliff and Livingston also faltering recently.
They are unsurprisingly heavily favoured at 40/85 to get the win, but this could be a tough game against a Hamilton side who have once again sickened their main critics by going on a nice run collecting five points from three games against Rangers, Motherwell and St Mirren.
They’ve managed to score in their last four games and certainly won’t sit back in Leith – a venue where they have scored three goals in their last two visits.
Hibs should have too much for Accies, but the 9/4 of them winning and both teams to score is attractive.
Hearts v Morton
City rivals HEARTS are making hard work of claiming their inevitable Championship title, but they really should have enough to win to nil against struggling Morton at Tynecastle.
Two grim Friday night displays on the trot at Ayr and Dumfries angered Hearts fans, unhappy at two really poor displays where they edged out United 1-0 and required a last gasp penalty to avoid losing to Queen of the South.
But they are a different team in Gorgie and should devour a Morton side who have failed to score in their last two games against Arbroath and Raith Rovers at home.
Robbie Neilson’s men slugged their way to a 2-0 win at Cappielow earlier this season and should be able to keep a clean sheet and stroll to victory against the Greenock side.
Aberdeen v Kilmarnock
In the battle of the goal droughts, ABERDEEN can inflict more misery on Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.
The stats are quite astonishing here – the Dons have broken a 118-year-old record to go 553 minutes without a goal on a run that stretches to over six games.
And the Ayrshire side are four games without a goal, and have lost seven games in a row.
A thriller is therefore unlikely and added to that is the Tommy Wright factor. The former St Johnstone boss has a good record at Pittodrie, but can only work with what’s been left for him.
Although Aberdeen lost at Celtic, there were slightly encouraging signs that they could soon get back to something approaching winning ways. Flo Kamberi was their best player and he can create things – something woefully lacking in Derek McInnes’ team.
And Aberdeen have a remarkable Indian Sign over Killie – they have lost just once in the last 31 games.
