Lecce v Brescia (Serie B – 6.00pm)
A pure stats-based bet this one. Brescia (3.10 goals) and Lecce (3.00 goals) boast the highest number of goals featured in their games in Serie A so we should be in for goals at the Stadio Via del Mare.
Despite sitting eighth in the table Lecce are second top scorers in the division and have scored in six of their last seven. Both teams have scored in 67% of Lecce matches (14/21) and in 71% of Brescia matches.
Winterthur v Grasshoppers (Switzerland Challenge League – 7.00pm)
This is one of Grasshoppers two games in hand over Thun who sit four points ahead of them at the top of the table so it’s the ideal opportunity close the gap. The Zurich club have found the net in 16 of their 17 league matches so far.
Winterthur boast an unbeaten home record (W5 D2) and have hit 19 goals in their seven matches on their own turf.
There’s a good record of goals in this fixture with seven of the last eight meetings seeing both teams score.
Walsall v Mansfield (7.00)
Walsall may be two places above Mansfield who are 15th in the table, but it’s the the Stags who will have their eye on a promotion push based on recent form. They’ve won 25 points from 33 since Nigel Clough took over the hotseat in November and a win here could take them in to the top half of the table.
They’ve found the net in 13 in their last five so in good goalscoring form.
Hosts Walsall have seen both teams score in in eight of their last 10.
Dundee v Ayr Utd (7.45pm)
Dundee’s match at home to Inverness was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged Dens Park so this game might be in doubt but if it goes ahead it could be worth adding to the BTTS line.
The Dee have been disappointing this season, failing to put any pressure on pre-season favourites Hearts but they’ve been solid enough at home, winning 14 points from 18. They’ve added Scottish internationalist Jason Cummings to their strikeforce and he could make an interesting partnership with top scorer Osman Sow.
Ayr Utd have been inconsistent throughout the campaign but have found the net more often than not.
