Taking a week-long break from competing might be exactly what Afreeca Freecs needed to pull themselves together and improve upon their showings in the first two weeks of the season. They have already lost to DRX, Liiv SANDBOX and DWG KIA this split, while their only win came against Fredit BRION.

Like AF, Nongshin RedForce played their last match on Saturday, when they bested Fredit Brion 2-0 in a bout that was much closer than it should have been. The game was all Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, who is known to get the action started early, which fits a RedForce outfit who need to get their mid Park “Bay” Jun-byeong out of the lane ASAP before he singlehandedly loses the game.
This will be a clash of two completely different styles of play. While RedForce will hope they accelerate the game, AF will be quite content keeping the laning phase going for as long as possible. This seems more like an underdog-or-nothing type of match, and at $2.59 we will gladly side with Afreeca Freecs.

DWG KIA should have a fairly easy time against Hanwha Life Esports, largely because mid Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu are the only two players on the HLE team that are consistently playing well. Having said that, DWG KIA have yet to show any consistency and look capable of losing any match on any given day.

Instead of picking a winner, it’s the over/under kill market that has caught our attention. HLE hold the highest average kill count (16.3) in the league and give up 10.8 deaths, whereas DWG KIA average 11.8 kills and 9.6 deaths in their games. This shows DWG KIA on average give up one death less than their opponents and secure 0.8 kills less as well.
The total kill line is set at 23.5, which seems a bit too low considering DWG KIA will be forced to use a slightly more aggressive playstyle if they wish to exploit HLE’s weaknesses. At these odds, this is a bet we can’t pass on.
