Man City laid down the gauntlet in the Premier League with an impressive 5-0 at West Brom that fired them to the top of the table.
So it’s over to you Man Utd and Leicester on Wednesday, both of whom could return to the summit once again with a win.
Well done to West Ham too, up in to fourth in the table, albeit having played a game more than most, but the way this league is going you’d rather have the points on the board than games in your pocket.
Well done to everyone that landed a winner on Tuesday, as ever, there were a few crackers in the comments section. It was pleasing to nail another Super Single winner to keep the good run going and shout-out to our own KevMac who nailed a full-house in his Tuesday Tips piece.
Wednesday’s Betting Tips
New boss Thomas Tuchel will be at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea‘s first match in the post-Lampard era. Visitors Wolves have had a disppointing season and you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get from them. Chelsea are just too short to be backing at 4/7 but they’re a better side than their 10th place in the table and if they can respond to the new manager should win this one.
Man Utd haven’t lost in the league since November 1st and shouldn’t be too troubled by Sheffield United. Big hitters will no doubt get involved at 1/4 but regular punters will be tempted by the 1.900 (4/5) on United to win -1.5 on the Asian Handicap.
Leicester‘s visit to Goodison Park could be match of the night. For Everton the prize is to leap above rivals Liverpool and in to the top four, for the Foxes the possibility of drawing level on points with Man City at the top of the table. With so much at stake this could be close affair. The draw is 23/10.
The other games between Burnley and Aston Villa, and Brighton and Fulham look too close to call.
In Scotland, Rangers travel along the M8 to Edinburgh aiming to another step closer to the Scottish Premiership title. The Gers have drawn four of their last five visits to Easter Road and face a Hibs side who must pick themselves up after another disappointing Hampden defeat at the weekend. The draw is 15/4 at Bet365 but Rangers looked back to their best on Saturday’s 5-0 home win over Ross County. They’re 2/5 o take the three points and 6/4 to win to nil – a feat they’ve managed no less than 18 times in 25 league games this season.
Neil Lennon was bullish in his defence to Celtic‘s recent form in Tuesday’s presser and it’s unthinkable that the Hoops will make it FIVE games without a win in the Premiership. Visitors Hamilton are as big as 28/1 (William Hill) to pile on the agony and slay the Bhoys but Celtic have scored 12 in their last three meetings with the Accies and are due to turn the corner soon – surely!
Who’ll start up front for Celtic is anyone’s guess but midfielder David Turnbull looks a certain starter and has been among the goals and he’s 5/4 (BetVictor) to score anytime.
St Johnstone will still be on high after the weekend’s Betfred Cup win over Hibs and Aberdeen can catch them off-guard at a healthy 17/10. Dons’ gaffer Derek McInnes has come under fire lately but he always seems to be able to turn things are just when he needs it most. They’ve a good record at McDiarmid Park and 17/10 looks too good to pass up.
Livingston‘s incredible run of form shows no sign of letting up. Will Kilmarnock be the ones to deliver David Martindale’s first defeat? Killie are 13/5 to win at the Toni Macaroni Stadium.
