Brentford are the form side in the Championship at present and they will fancy their chances of claiming all three points against Swansea City on Wednesday night.
On the back of a 16-game unbeaten stretch in the league, the Bees will look to leapfrog the Swans into the automatic promotion places at the Liberty Stadium.
Bees to Continue Table Climb
Brentford will be hoping to haunt Swansea once again when the two sides meet in South Wales this week.
It was Thomas Frank’s side that won the battle over two legs in the Championship playoff semi-final last season, before the Bees went on to lose to Scott Parker’s Fulham at Wembley.
Frank sparked a rivalry between the teams when guaranteeing his side would beat the Swans in the playoff second leg and since then there has been some bad blood between the two teams.
The pair shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier this season but the Bees might be able to edge Wednesday’s encounter.
Brentford are on a four-match winning run in the league and are 33/20 to claim the three points at the Liberty Stadium.
Boro to Get Back on Track
Middlesbrough will look to get their push for the playoff places back on track when they host Rotherham United on Wednesday.
Boro were edged out 1-0 at home against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday to leave Neil Warnock’s side three points behind sixth-placed Bournemouth.
Wednesday provides a strong opportunity to get back to winning ways as Rotherham have picked up just two wins in their last 11 Championship outings.
Five wins from their first 22 league games sees the Millers down in 22nd place in the standings and once again the South Yorkshire outfit are set for a battle to avoid the drop this season.
Expect Boro to make home advantage count at the Riverside and the hosts are 5/6 to get back to winning ways at the Riverside.
Tykes Out to Add to Bluebirds’ Woes
Barnsley have the chance to add to Cardiff City’s woes when the two sides go head to head at Oakwell on Wednesday.
The Bluebirds parted company with Neil Harris last week and decided to bring in the experienced Mick McCarthy to fill the void.
It might take time for McCarthy to get to grips with his new squad and implement the style of play he wants to see from his side going forward.
Barnsley will be buoyed by their 1-0 victory over Championship frontrunners Norwich City at the weekend in the FA Cup and could well edge out a win over the Bluebirds this week.
The Tykes are 29/20 for a win in South Yorkshire and 59/20 to win to nil against Cardiff.
