The title race is well and truly on the Premier League after Man Utd eked out a 1-0 at Burnley to move three points clear of Liverpool – the first time they’ve topped the table at this stage of the season since 2012, under Sir Alex.
So set your reminders for Sunday 4.30pm, for an actual ‘Super Sunday’ on Sky Sports for once, live from Anfield when the two great rivals clash. It should be a cracker.
On Wednesday night it’s Manchester City and Spurs‘ chance to close the gap on leaders against Brighton and Fulham respectively.
Scott Parker is seriously unhappy at the fixture reshuffle that’s led to their match in North London only being confirmed on Monday. Spurs are short enough at 2/5 but Parker’s comments don’t suggest Fulham will travel across London with much enthusiasm for the fixture.
Man City are even shorter at just 1/7 and this feels like one of those games where Pep’s side, who are hitting some belated form, will just sweep aside the opposition. Brighton have some maojor players out in the shape of Danny Welbeck, Aaron Connolly and Tariq Lamptey, Adam Lallana and Yves Bissouma who is suspended.
Plenty of us on the site were sweet on Dundee United in Scotland on Tuesday, who looked over-priced for a win at home to St Johnstone. As it happened this beauty from Lawrence Shankland was required for the Arabs to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw.
Absolutely outrageous from Lawrence Shankland.
Turning into quite the Tayside derby between Dundee United and St Johnstone.

On Wednesday, Livingston‘s resurgence will be given it’s stiffest examination to date by the visit of Aberdeen. Livi are on a run of six straight wins in the league, scoring 14 goals in the process but they’ll have to reverse a run of results in the this fxiture that’s seen the Dons win seven of the last eight meetings between the two. The bookies can’t separate them however and Bet365 price up both sides at 17/10.
There’s more Coppa Italia matches on Wednesday as well as the French Trophee des Champions where Marseille stand in the way of Mauricio Pochettino winning some silverware early in to his tenure at PSG. SlipsTips has constructed a BetBuilder that includes cards and corners for the match that’s live on BTSport 2.
Look-out for the second leg of the Copa Libertadores semi-final between Santos and Boca Juniors, which can be watched on the BBC Red Button, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport Website. It’s all to play for after a 0-0 draw in the first leg.
