With a poor weekend of weather ahead and worries about some games going ahead, we might do well to find a selection let alone a winner.
Jonathan Obika (St Mirren)
So I am starting in the Premiership where Motherwell’s new boss Graham Alexander begins with a trip to Paisley to face St Mirren.
Alexander has a massive job on his hands as the side he has inherited last won a game back on the 31st of October, having lost lost seven and drawn three of their last 10 games.
Even allowing for a new manager bounce, I wouldn’t be going anywhere near the 11/5 about Well.
And that is without factoring in the excellent form of St Mirren this season.
Jim Goodwin has done a terrific job with the Buddies and steered them to a League Cup final after thrilling 3-2 win over Rangers – the only defeat Rangers have suffered all season.
And remember St Mirren were one of the favourites for automatic relegation at the start of the season, but sit five points off bottom in seventh with two games in hand on Ross County.
Taking into account both teams, odds of 5/4 with McBookie look very fair about Jim Goodwin’s side.
Buddies striker Jonathan Obika has scored six times this season and leads the way for his side with three Premiership this campaign.

David Turnbull (Celtic)
The following day Celtic entertain Hibernian and the visitors have hit a real bump in the road, having lost their last three games – conceding six goals without reply.
Much has been made of Celtic’s trip to Dubai following their defeat at Ibrox last weekend and I expect they will be all out to prove their critics wrong with a big effort against Hibs.
One thing which Neil Lennon has been heavily criticised for is signing David Turnbull and then not playing him and perisiting with Scott Brown when the years look to be finally ctaching up with the 35-year-old.
It looks like Lennon has finally woken up to how good a player Turnbull is and have improved hugely since Tunbull has been in the starting 11.
In fact Turnbull has scored in three of his last four games and looks some value at 5/1 to score first with McBookie.
Kane Hester (Elgin City)
In the Scottish Cup hopefully the Elgin City v Ayr United clash goes ahead as the Black and Whites could provide a shock against an out-of-form Ayr side without a win in five.
Elgin have won five of their last six and sit second in the League Two table and have won five of their six home games as well this season.
Kane Hester has been banging in the goals for Elgin this season despite picking up two red cards! Hopefully he can keep himself in check for long enough to grab the opening goal at 6/1 with McBookie.
