Mr Fixit always said he preferred betting on a Sunday than a Saturday. Too much choice often makes it hard to sort the wheat from the chaff and that was the case once more for plenty of us this Saturday.
However, there were plenty of winners in the comments section so if you managed to pocket some profit then please consider making a small donation to the two causes we set up in Mr Fixit’s memory. Please read about The Bubble Foundation and St Margaret of Scotland Hospice and find how to donate here.
Tough Saturday
Saturday’s three live Premier League matches were pretty awful from a betting perspective, just two goals scored, a 0-0 in the Manchester Derby and but for a Mike Dean not much excitement on show. The whistler doled out more cards than there were shots on target at Molineux which would’ve kept those backing cards very happy.
Not many winners then among our match previews but Hamilton saved the day for SlipsTips, themselves picking up 3 cards to land his 2+ card bet at 4/5.
But star of the show was Desmond. In a day filled with goals he was so unlucky to miss out by one goal on his 52/1 seven-fold roll-up but did great to land his 9/4 2+ Double and his 9/2 Over 2.5 Treble.
Queen’s Park were one of the biggest let-downs of the day. Backed in from 23/20 to 4/6 just before kick-off, the Spiders contrived to come from behind only to then throw away the lead twice in a 3-3 draw with Edinburgh City.
Let’s see what Sunday has to offer.
Sunday’s Line-up
Both Celtic and Rangers are in action in the Scottish Premiership with the latter having the chance to go and incredible 16 points clear of their great rivals with a win at Tannadice before Celtic welcome Kilmarnock to the east end of Glasgow hoping to build upon Thursday’s win over Lille.
In the Premier I’ve been talking up Leicester’s chances at home to Brighton and am slightly surprise their even-money price has held-up so far. The Foxes have a poor home record so far and need to arrest that before it becomes an issue and I’ll be backing them to get the win over Brighton.
Liverpool should oblige for short-price backers as should in-form Spurs at Palace. The Double pays 7/5.
In Italy I’ll be on corners in Bologna. Despite being 10th in Serie A Siniša Mihajlović’s side have won more corners than anyone (avg 7.2). Roma are also on a relatively high 6.0 per match so Over 10 match corners looks achievable and is 5/6 at Bet365.

Golf – McIntyre & Perez in the mix in Dubai
Those of you who follow The Caddy’s golf tips will hopefully be cheering on his 30/1 tips Robert McIntyre on the final day at the DB World Tour Championship in Dubai. The Scotsman is tied fourth, just one stroke off the lead so best of luck to those on board.
Frenchman Victor Perez isn’t quite out of it yet either on six under par. He’s tied 12th, five shots off the lead.
The Caddy’s NAP is also in good shape. Danny Willet is five shots clear of Henrik Stenson and well on the way to beating him in The Caddy’s match-bet.
Racing Tips
