The Madrid Derby takes place in Spain on Saturday evening as La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid head to Real Madrid.
Los Colchoneros sit at the top of the pile with 26 points after 10 games, while Real are six points further back in fourth having played a game more.
Diego Simeone’s men are unbeaten domestically this season and haven’t lost in La Liga since February – although their last defeat did come at the hands of their city rivals in the corresponding fixture last term.
Real have found a bit of form after a tough spell and go into the derby seeking a third straight win after beating Sevilla and then German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach to secure a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
However, Atleti have managed to beat Barcelona and hold Bayern Munich to a draw this season and should head into this match-up in confident mood.
Real will arguably see this as an early-season ‘must-win’ encounter given Atleti’s lead in the title fight and that could well play into the visitors hands.
Atletico are on offer at a tempting 43/20 to record a victory on Saturday evening and at that price they look worth the risk as they bid to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Sociedad Too Slick for Eibar
The early kick off on Sunday sees in-form Real Sociedad host Eibar and a win could see them move ahead of Atleti should the capital club fail to win on Saturday.
Sociedad have drawn their last five games in a row across all competitions but the visit of Eibar looks like a real opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Eibar have been in strong form on the road and have lost just once in their last eight games, but Sociedad should have enough quality to pick up all three points at 10/17.
Win and a Clean Sheet for Villarreal
Villarreal sit third in La Liga and they should be able to overcome hosts Real Betis on Sunday afternoon.
The Yellow Submarine have drawn three of their five away games so far, with one win and one defeat, but a trip to Betis offers an opportunity to pick up a three-point haul.
Betis have been an all-or-nothing team this season and have yet to play out a draw in 12 La Liga games, with five wins and seven defeats.
When Villarreal do win they usually also manage a clean sheet and three of their last four victories have been to nil. Betis’ recent home form has been a concern with three defeats in their last four games, and they have failed to score in two of those fixtures.
The visitors are 5/4 to win but the 14/5 on offer for a Villarreal win to nil stands out as the value bet in this La Liga fixture.
