There are four Premier League games on Sunday and the highlight is Manchester United’s clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men crushed Germany’s RB Leipzig 5-0 in their last home game in the Champions League but domestically they have struggled at the Theatre of Dreams, picking up just one point from three games so far.
The early kick-off sees Aston Villa entertain Southampton at 12:00, at 14:00 high-flying Everton head to Newcastle and in the late game Spurs host Brighton, with United and Arsenal’s meeting taking place at 16:30.
United’s wait to continue
Arsenal showed some real promise in the opening rounds but three defeats in their last four league games have taken the gloss off that fine start.
However, those defeats came at the hands of champions Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City so there is no need to panic just yet for Mikel Arteta and the Gunners may just get something at Old Trafford.
Arsenal have managed draws in their last two league trips to United and are unbeaten in their last four Premier League meetings with their hosts.
United’s home form is a concern but they do go into this game seeking to extend a four-game unbeaten streak across all competitions and this is a fixture where the two teams may cancel each other out.
A draw looks the standout bet in this match-up at 13/5 and a draw with goals is on offer at 59/20.
Everton too strong for Newcastle
Everton are without Richarlison for their trip to Newcastle and that is a blow but they should have the quality to claim all three points regardless.
Newcastle have relied on keeper Karl Darlow far too heavily in these early stages of the campaign and he leads the way in the Premier League with 31 saves so far.
The Magpies were lucky to steal a point against Wolves last time out but their fortune may run out against Everton and an away win at 23/20 looks a good option in this clash.
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in sensational form this term with seven goals in just six league games and he is 13/10 to score at anytime or 10/3 to open proceedings at St James’ Park.
Spurs can end home blues
Tottenham have been mentioned as possible outside candidates for the title this season after a strong start but their best results have come away from home.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs are yet to pick up three points in north London but they can end that winless run when Brighton visit on Sunday evening.
The Seagulls are winless in five games and are unlikely to end that run when they travel to Spurs, who should revert to their strongest XI after rotating for the midweek Europa League defeat at Antwerp.
A Tottenham win is on offer at 4/6 and Son Heung-min appeals as an anytime scorer option at 7/5 for Mourinho’s men.
