League One predictions, betting tips and best bets
Gillingham vs Fleetwood Town
FST predicts: Fleetwood Town to win
Fleetwood Town were brought back down to earth on Tuesday as their three match unbeaten streak came to an end at Accrington Stanley, but they’ll be cautiously optimistic about bouncing back on Saturday.
Gillingham have lost three of their last four games in all competitions and have suffered back-to-back 2-0 defeats in League One, so the early kickoff could end in disappointment for the hosts.
Oxford United vs Swindon Town
FST predicts: Oxford United to win
Oxford United have endured a tough start to the season but they can boost morale with a win over rivals Swindon on Saturday. They have won seven of their last eight meetings with the Robins and come into this clash having returned to winning ways against MK Dons in midweek.
The visitors, meanwhile, have lost each of their last five games in all competitions and each of their last four in League One, so another defeat is on the cards.
Doncaster Rovers vs Crewe Alexandra
FST predicts: Doncaster Rovers to win
Doncaster put in a stellar performance on Tuesday as they thrashed the in-form Ipswich 4-1 at home, and they’re justified favourites to get the job done at the Keepmoat Stadium here.
Newly promoted Crewe have only won two of their six League One matches and were left wanting again in midweek at Sunderland. They have lost both their trips away by 1-0 scorelines and haven’t won any league away game since the beginning of February.
Shrewsbury vs Rochdale
FST predicts: Shrewsbury to win
Shrewsbury’s five match unbeaten streak may have come to an end at home to Bristol Rovers in midweek, but they should get back to winning ways against a Rochdale side that have lost three of their last four away games.
The Dale did get back on track in midweek but they face a Blues outfit that have won two of their last three and will be itching to bounce back from their disappointment on Tuesday.
Blackpool vs MK Dons
FST predicts: Both teams to score
Both these teams may be in the League One relegation zone right now, but they are both expected to show improvement and there will definitely be plenty of attacking quality on the pitch on Saturday.
Two of Blackpool’s last three home games have featured five goals and both teams have scored in four of their last five in all competitions, while MK Dons have also seen both teams hit the back of the net in four of their last five competitive outings.
