Following back-to-back Bet Builder winners in France and Italy over the last few days I’m hoping for more of the same on Sunday when I dip into the Bundesliga.
FC Koln vs Eintracht Frankfurt (Sunday, 14:30)
FC Koln will be desperate to finally get off the mark this weekend when they play host to an Eintracht Frankfurt side who have made a flying start to the season.
Markus Gisdol’s men endured a miserable end to the last campaign having failed to win any of their final 10 league matches following the enforced break, and they have since lost each of their opening three Bundesliga bouts of the new season.
Frankfurt meanwhile, have taken seven points from a possible nine thus far and come into this clash off the back of eye-catching wins over Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim.
Adi Hutter’s troops are widely available at odds-against of 11/10 to make it three wins on the spin, however, I’m going to make use of Bet 365‘s Bet Builder feature with the view to getting the visitors onside.
The combination that I’m going to pull together to present us with a backable 4/5 punt is Frankfurt double chance, over one match goal, over five match corners and Koln to collect at least one card.
The Billy Goats are winless in 13 games and 10 of their last 11 German top-flight tussles at this venue have produced over 2.5 goals, with the hosts conceding at least twice in six of their last seven outings on home turf.
Frankfurt are undefeated in seven and Hutter’s side have notched up two or more strikes in five of their last six Bundesliga road trips.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that Frankfurt have in-form strike duo Andre Silva and Bas Dost leading their line, I’m more than happy to back the Eagles to avoid defeat when they come up against confidence-stricken Cologne.
It’s also worth noting that only Bayern Munich have averaged more corners than Frankfurt this term, while Koln have collected at least three cards in each of their previous three fixtures – all of which adds to the appeal of siding with the above-mentioned Bet Builder
What’s more, taking this approach would have banked profit across five of the six contests that these two sides have contested collectively and I see no reason to oppose a repeat on Sunday.
