CELTIC and Hibs is an intriguing battle on Sunday and both teams to score looks a solid bet.
Jack Ross’ side took two points from Rangers last week and will be desperate to prove they can mix it with the other half of the Old Firm this week.
And while they might not quite have enough to return to the capital with any points they certainly have the firepower to contribute to the goals tally.
Rangers’ proud defensive record was breached twice in Leith last week and that should give Hibs encouragement for their trip to play the champions.
Celtic have looked shaky this season, particularly at the back – Hamilton Accies, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Livingston have all netted against them this season and Hibs are better than them.
Their fans are up in arms about their performances and although the 9-5 about them winning and both teams to score is tempting they are not entirely trustworthy at the moment to win the match and both to score at a shade under evens appeals.
Hamilton Accies look overpriced at 13-5 to beat Dundee United at home. Accies are always going to be underdogs for practically all games this season. In fact it’s been that way for almost the entirety of their top-flight stay.
But they’ve not been disgraced this season at all and have already won at Motherwell and Livingston – two tough venues to go to.
They couldn’t beat 10-man Killie last week but were without three of their regular starters who could return against United. They dominated chunks of the game but couldn’t break down a well-marshalled Killie defence.
United, and more importantly Lawrence Shankland, returned to winning ways last week after consecutive 4-0 thumpings but Hamilton rarely make things easy for teams and they’re a big price to get the win.
St Johnstone could really do with a win and also look big at 19-10 to win at Livingston.
When under 2.5 goals for this game is 4-7 you know not to expect a thriller and the Perth side have hardly been this season’s great entertainers – their last five games have finished 1-0 and they’ve lost four of them. But you just get the feeling it might yet click for the Saints.
They’ve created plenty but are just failing to put them away. They’re not playing like their results suggest and it will turn for them.
Livingston appear to have lost their aura of invincibility they had at the Tony Macaroni, having only won one out of four home games there this season and Saints can kickstart their season.
