THE weekend kicks off with Huddersfield vs Nottm Forest and top-flight games in Germany, France, Holland and Portugal.
In the Championship both sides have started poorly and identically – with no wins, no goals and four goals conceded in two games. Makes this one tough to call.
Hertha Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt and big-spending Lille vs Nantes are the games in Germany and France and Dutch football expert mr orange gives Twente a good chance against a Groningen side missing Arjen Robben.
There are other games dotted about Europe including Braga vs Santa Clara and I’ll put up a double or treble in the morning.
Well done to all the winners last night. While I tipped Celtic, Rangers and Spurs to win, Motherwell to lose and Aberdeen +2 my treble was a goal out with Celtic needing a second.
Rangers were the most impressive winners on the night but face a tough final qualifier against Galatasaray while Celtic face a Sarajevo side they beat recently in the Champions League qualifiers.
That’s for another day but for now we’re looking for Friday winners ahead of a busy weekend.
